Ken,

Truck looks great, except for that mess in the PS footwell in pic 2-3...what the he** is THAT?

 I don't see what your talking about?

Ken, your garage is WAY too clean.

Very nice build & excellent chronological write up.

Just to pick your brain, is there anything you would do differently if you were to build another 80?

Thank you.

Thanks . If you like that, click on the ROTW link in my sig line next to my FJ40.

As far as the garage looking way to clean, you should see all the crap in my basement.

I can't think of anything I would do different other than not leaning over the radiator while changing out spark plug #6 (snap) . . .note new Radiator.

The only bad thing about the rig is the seats looked pristene when I bought it and for a month after that. Apparently, you can have the seats sprayed with something so it makes them look perfect. The leather isn't bad or ripped, but it is showing signs of age in a few places after the "spray" wore off

Whoops! My bad...I meant the pic beneath the snowy one! :o

Oh, that was all the packaging from the CB and speaker. I installed it and took a picture before cleaning up. If you look at the original thread, I posted step by step pictures as I installed it:

ARB Front Bumper Q

Ken (and anyone else who may know),

During the accident involving innocent OffspringofRomer, would the ARB Front Bumper (aka Armor) cause a screw up of accelerometers for the SRS? As indicated in the awesome detail of the incident, everyone elses airbags exploded. Of course, KidletofRomer was stationary, so that wouldn't occur in this instance.

How about when an FJ80/FZJ80 is actually in motion? Any history or evidence of someone else in an accident? (From what I've seen, these beefy trucks tend to do the metal moving anyway!)

Anyone?

Newb Mistake

Hey, whaddya know! I searched. :o

You guys have discussed EVERYTHING...though most of those ARB/SRS posts are over 1-2 years old. However, I guess it's a good thing that there aren't more posts on firing airbags in FJ80/FZJ80's.

The airbag deployed in this ARB mounted 80. Good enough for me.

Thanks, Doug.

Read the ENTIRE thing earlier, during my aforementioned ARB/SRS search! WOW! What a colossal collision! That ARB really took it on the chin!

Back to Ken's rig...

Ken,

You've lifted, Slee'ed, x-ferred the x-fer case, CB'ed. What next? I don't remember your response on the best spent/wasted money list.

Again, your truck provides an excellent template for us noobs.

Rock on!

I was looking for a mounting bar for a CO2 tank/fire Ext.

I may focus back on the FJ40 and install Power Steering.

Thanks for all the nice words

Very nice and well thought out. Not to mention clean!

Good job.

So, how dangerous/fun is it to be that close to Slee's shop?

Romer,
Thanks for helping out. awesome rig enjoyed reading about Romer and Daugtherofromer.

Romer, I'm a total slacker when it comes to checking mud lately. But great to see your rig up here sir, and relive some of those mods and maintenance items. See you soon my friend.

Thanks Tim, Still haven't tried the burrito cooker mod you developed :D

Right now I am focusing on putting Power Steering in the 40.

i'm still waiting for you to turn your head long enough for me to steal the seats... :D

Trying to figure this one out:confused: What does my ROTW have to do with the temps in NY.

Since there is a new post I might as well up date with the CO2 Tank System just installed.

I copied exactly the setup above that Brentbba posted that he gave credit to Chris Geiger and Beowolf . I even used these posts as the instructions to the guy who made it for me.

The ultimate tank had the tank bracket. I bought an extra seat bracket for $15 and that way I can swap them in about 10 minutes if i need a people hauler. My friend welded it together for $20 including materials.
