What's up Alex!
Hope you're doing okay, and back behind the wheel soon!

Danny

So glad you brought that up. I personally called the hospital and talked to someone. I'm allowed to drive. It feels good. This just happened two hours ago maybe. Thanks Danny :) any reason for me to be happy is much appreciated.

Super tech post here. Look out.

I just wanted to show the color of the radio at night. Again it is a Kenwood KDC352U set on color 18 I believe. The HVAC, inclinometer, and vacuum gauge have LED bulbs in them.

I'm happy with the radio.

Got a local meeting tomorrow and then a beach cleanup later in the month. Gotta do a few things before then. So I promise something more interesting in the future :)

Been a while. Have a few things to update.

Got in an accident back in January. Lost my front bumper, front valence, core support and driver-side fender. Drove it home. Got another fender. Sprayed it the weekend of the accident, sourced another core support. Got it back together. Drove it the next week. Color is not an exact match but it was only $5 a can and available locally.

A few weeks after that I found another core support, and valence from a Light Blue Metallic FJ60. Swapped them in.

So here is how it sits today:

Ordered some parts

I broke this piece that held my Rain-X blade on. Don't know if it was OEM. I'm thinking not due to the way the OEM blade looks.

OEM Rear Wiper Blade

In the next photo is the old rain-x 13" blade. Looks like the OEM is 12" and it works perfectly. The old blade skipped and didn't get complete coverage.

So that's what I've been up to. I also got my H42 transmission rebuilt. Counter-shaft bearing failure. It's nice and quiet now. Also went very OCD on sealing up the transfer-case. No leaks. Can't say the same for my oil pan though

And I bought a silver star

Couple of things:
Who are the flowers for buddy? Aahh, you shouldn't have. ;)
It looks to me the broken wiper hook thingy is what comes with aftermarket wiper blades, making future blade changes easier.
I was thinking how the hell is there Ih8mud forum on factory Toyota parts, then saw Sam Stewarts name on the invoice. :)
Good on you for that Silver Star! :bounce: :D

Pics or the Jambo didn't happen!

Danny and J you guys are great.

Girlfriends Birthday today. I thought about moving the flowers but I don't really care. We all have a :princess:

I'll do you one better for Jambo. Video :D

Definitely agree about fixing little things. Makes ya feel good. Also adjusted the clutch. My third and fourth gear have a click to them in mid-shift. Don't really know what's up with that.

Below are pictures moved from post #203

And the cable for the center console. Broke after 29 years! What a joke :hillbilly:

Good to see ya out and about Kline. Keep up the good work bud.

Thanks for the compliments hambone and Ryan :)

I need a tutorial on my new GoPro Hero 3 so plan on helping a brother out Kline. I'll buy the beer!

J

That can be arranged. Just make sure to bring the  with you. Gilmer is dry!!!

Got a new bumper, and replaced my windshield. I supplied an OEM gasket (Part Number: 56121-90A05) glass shop supplied glass. Installed was $207.97 with lifetime warranty on leaks/ workmanship.

The ARB is awesome. I love it. Picked it up after work and finished about 11pm last night.

No plans for a winch anytime soon. Lights... Maybe. I need to beef up some electronics for that. (I don't know a thing about those)

What mismatched lower valance? Super cool! I knew you couldn't wait. Did you get it from 4wheelparts?

I got it through a Landcruiser mechanic. Almost would have had to wait a week, but we snagged this one up. I still need to drill the "pin" holes or whatever they are. May come to you for that. And I need to wire the blinkers. I think you do too IIRC

Looks good Al, did you notice any difference in ride at all? It doesn't appear to be bringing the front end down at all in the pic.

Looks great Kline. Glad you got a front bumper FINALLY, NO HELP FROM ME HUH......

Sorry man, been busy as &#+%!

I've only had time to put fuel in Marley lately. I'll be in Houston in a few weeks. Maybe we can catch up and have a beer.

J

I'd love that. Let me know sir!

And no worries about being busy. I've been busy too. Work work work. (For a bumper and windshield)

Looks good Al, did you notice any difference in ride at all? It doesn't appear to be bringing the front end down at all in the pic.

It didn't. I weigh more than the bumper. You can easily pick it up by itself. The front end went down more with me standing on it. I was worried about it, but as far as I can tell my "medium" spec suspension is plenty. When I add a winch many many years from now I may need to add the "heavy" leaf.

It's awesome. I need some lights. How would you guys recommend powering them? I've got too many things on my positive battery terminal. What's a good solution?
