Id do a 32" LED bar because the draw on the battery is less than Halogen/HID. I wouldnt wouldn't spend Rigid money when you can get almost the same amount of light with excellent cut off from a couple venders here on mud. I am a tad biased though since 2000UZJ (Expedition Lighting Systems) is my wheeling buddy... haha.

And I have a question, do you notice the bumper sort of shaking/vibrating while driving sometimes since its a body on frame truck?

Yeah I'm gonna do some research on lights. Gonna get something inexpensive probably.

The question was more about how do you physically connect the power wire to power. My positive battery terminal is too crowded.

And I haven't experienced anything like what you speak of with the bumper. It's bolted down with 16 grade 8 bolts. Doesn't really move haha

dual battery hook up lol or just start rewiring stuff into large power wires for specific things like engine running to one power wire to the most central area and what not and then one wire for accessories that leads to somewhrere and gets spliced off.

What do you mean by "large power wires?"

Wouldn't those then need to have fuses, etc?

Don't need dual batteries. More weight, more money, for no benefit.

Most of guys with lights a plenty that i know use watertight accessory fuse boxes sort of like this... http://www.starmarinedepot.com/Blue...h+Cover.html?gclid=CKyVnsnX-rcCFUtk7AodKhEAtA

it'll get all the cables out of the way of your positive battery port, give the engine bay a cleaner, less cluttered look, and it will make people think you're better at wiring things up than you really are :D

yep, this is what im in the process of doing since I have audio amps and too many other electrical gadgets. its really easy to run a couple larger wires to different locations and then split them to the different accessories with fuse boxes.

as for dual batteries, you never think you need them until you leave your lights on and are stranded in the woods with no one to jump you... and weight isn't that bad I use a battery half the size of my regular one as a back up.

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought that was what fuse boxes are for, but I didn't want to spend money without knowing what I was doing haha.

My 60 is a DD, if I'm in the woods I'll be with another person. The 60 and I are both :princess:

I drive faster with my 2F and big tires than most of the people in Houston, on the streets and highway. I hope those people are like... WTF?!

I've done some small things lately. I can make it into one decent post.
  • Drained and refilled transmission
  • Drained and refilled front differential
  • Got my radiator rebuilt
  • Replaced my battery
I was planning on doing the rear diff, but I spent like 30 mins doing the front. Didn't have a proper funnel or filling method. What do you guys use?

And onto another list of small items to order and replace
  • Front door lock plastic pieces
  • Rebuild my original fan clutch
  • Put some rubber bumpers on the center console lid (looked like it had some at some point)
  • Still want to add an Aux. fuse block. My positive battery terminal is too crowded with three things on it.
It's the little things that bug me if you can't tell from that nitpicky list.

My transmission seems to be doing better after the rebuild. I only had the bearings replaced and I think it somehow made it "new" in the sense that the drain plug has been covered in small flakes. Significantly less this time. Gonna go with Redline MT90 next change.

The radiator was rebuilt at "Radiator King and Muffler King" on South Lamar in Austin. $125 and it took ~3 hours.

The battery was a tough call. My Optima Red Top finally bit the dust after 9 years. Pretty crazy. I had heard good things about the Die Hard Platinum. The price here was $230 at Sears. I went to Sam's Club and they had an AGM "Energizer" for $140. Went with a group 34 after comparing sizes. Cranks the cruiser just fine :)

The photos are gonna be all over the place. The last one is from the most recent TLCC-H meeting. BDSeff1fitty and I just chillin'

The cruiser has been doing great. Rolled 200 thousand not too long ago. Just rolled 201 thousand a few days ago. Safe to say it LUVSGAS

I don't use a funnel I get the little 1 quart squeeze bottle gear oil things from napa and you can squeeze/pour int othe fill plug. its messy but it works well. the other method I have used with luck is a transmission funnel with a long tube. since min is on a lift and my rear tire is not in the back I can pour everything relatively upright.

The quart bottles do work well. I didn't have one. Needed like two gallons of gear oil. Diffs are 2.6 quarts and the transmission is 3.3 quarts.

The funnel is probably the best idea. I prefer buying the larger bottles.

And J if I had more money I woulda just bought the Die Hard. My Dad bought the battery for me after reading reviews. Said the Platinum was for more modern vehicles, the gold would be okay. It was $165. Sam's beat that price though.

IH8MUD is my resource and I trust it. Thanks to my Dad though. He bought the 60 in the first place :)

No worries K, I used the squeeze bottle method for years :D.. just got tired of ketchup bottle frustration... Ha.

I've read good things on the E--AGM.

Your dad is a cool guy, I enjoyed meeting him.
