Those are sick but I bet they’re super uncomfortable for long trips. And repairs have to be crazy since they haven’t been built in forever.. I’d still buy oneI agree about capabilities, but my BIGGEST gripe with Jeep is reliability!
I'd love a Jeep platform with a Toyota drive train!! That would be a winner!!
Wait! Wasn't that the 40 series Landcruiser?? (ha-ha-ha!)

The GX is just a great swiss-army knife of a rig.
I would say that what the GX does great is offroad capability out of the box and reliability. It's probably the best on the planet without modification. Must be why you see Prados everywhere where there aren't roads. I'm thankful everyday I get in my rig and it just works. I've literally never seen a vehicle with so many miles (almost 179k) have zero leaks and is butter smooth and has no vibrations at idle. You cannot even tell the engine is running without looking at the RPM gauge. That's a great way to put it. It's good at everything but not great at anything in particular. Can do a lot, none of it the best out there, but can handle most tasks and adventures without qualms.
Tundra is more akin to an 18V impact gun, lol. And especially so on tight trails. Not what you want to take everywhere, but great at what it's meant to do.

If something happens to it I'll be getting another GX460 (a 2010 preferably) if its unrepairable.
No disrespect taken, and with all due respect right back at you, these individual, member-specific threads are for our own personal journeys-- be it for our builds, automotive lives, personal lives, or anything else that we see fit. Many other members include things that don't relate to their specific vehicle in their build threads. My automotive life includes my GX, my podcast, the vehicles I drive for media purposes, and countless other aspects that all tie into who I am in this world and thus who I am as a member on this forum. I don't see why it's a problem to include this here versus "clogging" the forum with another thread dedicated solely to these endeavors. These are some cool cars Roody, but with all due respect, can we keep this focused on GX's?
Not trying to be a downer, or anything but this is the wrong forum for these last several posts.
Hummm.... Okay, I'll capitulate, to an extent. I too am an automotive guy, probably from being half Italian and half German! No disrespect taken, and with all due respect right back at you, these individual, member-specific threads are for our own personal journeys-- be it for our builds, automotive lives, personal lives, or anything else that we see fit. Richard, all good! No hard feelings right back at you. Unless a mod steps in and says my podcast and press car posts are no-go moving forward, I'd like to continue doing so. These are things that I'm extremely fortunate to do and have access to (as is the case with my GX), and topics that I'm extremely excited to share with anyone who's willing to read, look, listen, watch, or discuss the subjects at hand. This is a Toyota-centric forum and this sub-forum is GXOR-centric, but we're all automotive enthusiasts here and I just want to share my corner of the world with my fellow Mud community.Hummm.... Okay, I'll capitulate, to an extent. I too am an automotive guy, probably from being half Italian and half German!Guess what I'm referring to so much non-GX content all at one time.
I agree, we all go down the rabbit hole once in a while, it's usually some banter off (GX) topic for only a few posts and then back to the OP or someone may suggest getting back on track again..
But again, it's your posts and I'm not a moderator, just some knucklehead probably sticking my nose in where it don't belong.
No hard feelings intended. You post some great stuff! But I'd prefer to look at these other vehicles on their websites when I get the bug.

Love it!Had the GX out at a trunk-or-treat event for the kiddo the other day. Not the most elaborate or elegant setup (and the 20 MPH winds with 30 MPH gusts didn't help things) but the GX was by far the most interesting vehicle in the parking lot which at least put a smile on my face attach
