Hi Romer, any chance you can snap a photo (side view) of your Gamiviti rack and the Gobi ladder with the tailgate fully lifted up/open? I just installed the Gamiviti rack (similar setup as yours) and wanted to see how much gap you have in between the rack and the Gobi ladder (with tailgate fully lifted open). I just want to make sure that there's enough room and to figure out how much I may need to move the rack forward if any... Thanks~ christian

Ill check my archives when I get home. I took the Gobi ladder off as I am having my ARB rear bumper replaced with a Slee Rear bumper.

No worries. Looking forward to see your new Slee Rear bumper on your 200. Let me know if you’re interested in selling your gobi ladder. Thanks.

Wow, Ken!
Some seriously great looking changes there. Like a whole-nuther truck!
:hillbilly:

Only confused about one thing...
-What is this word, “done” and what does it mean? Can you use it in a sentence? -I thought not... heheh... Neither can I.

I am done for today. How about that! Although I did just upgrade my Karavan to 300 ah of Lithium Batteries and a better Solar Controller

300 Ah! Wow. Which batteries and which controller and which panels?

Looks great Ken!

Battleborn seemed to be the best from a temperature rating and also the internal protection circuitry. The Solar controller is a Victron 50/100. The panels came stock on my Karavan when I bought it. They had some problems with these lasting, but might still seemed to charge when I tested it today priding 5.6Amps in the sun when I pulled it out of the garage. That probably isnt optimum for 220 Watt panels, but likely would offset most of a days use in my Karavan

I also added a bluetooth dongle to my Victron 700 Battery monitor so I can see how both the batteries and solar are performing

Jason? Who is this man? How can I get one of those tailgate lids for my cruiser? LOVE it.

Also, which unit did you go with for the tablet console and what accessories? Thanks, Ken!!

It's a generational thing - Ok Boomer

Since this is kind of my story thread and I listed my previous trucks in the first post you may have noticed I have owned four generations of Land Cruisers and still own two of them

Owning many different kinds of vehicles I have seemed to zero in on two models; the Land Cruiser and BMW Z4's. Two vehicles that couldn't be any farther apart from each other. Together they provide all the options you could want. The Land Cruiser is tough, reliable and can take me anywhere I want to go. The Z4 is fast, sporty, convertible and gets over 30MPG for commuting to work.

Four Generations of Land Cruisers
FJ40's I have owned three and currently have a 1973
80 series, great vehicle and did the Rubicon without a sweat. Me on the other hand, I sweated a few times :)
100 series - Great vehicle with V8 power. Took me through the Maze
200 series- My favorite so far and has done everything I have asked it to

Three generations of BMW Z4's
E85 - Fun but sparse in features
E89 - I owned two, a 2009 and then a 2011 with the infotainment system
G29 - The best yet. State of the art technology while also feeling like luxury

I guess I am dialed in on what to drive. When I walk in the garage its a choice between the FJ40, 200 series or G29 Z4

1997 80 series and 2003 BMW Z4
BMW Z4 2003 and 80.jpg

2004 100 Series and 2009 BMW Z4
BMW 2009 and 100.jpg

2014 200 series and 2019 BMW Z4 - The trees along my drive way have grown a lot since the 100 series, plus the new Garage to store my Karavan. Sales have been slow so I was able to get 19% off MSRP for a new last year model

Then of course the 1973 FJ40

I think the Blockbuster Video in the background is a pretty good indicator of generation!

Nice selection!
