just finnishing up a full roll cage and i want to pad it what have you guys used. most of the stuff im finding is either to hard (comp approved race car pad) or realy expensive also wont fit 2" pipe thanks

You'll appreciate the "hard" stuff if you whack your head good. The soft stuff will compress so easy that you'll swear you hit metal. OUCH!

Ok so I'm a cheap ass. I got blow out on pool noodles and they had a nice 1"3/4 hole so i just cut it and got some covers made from a local fabric store. Less than $40. It works for me.

I got sick of my padding fading in the sun and just getting trashed so I did my rollbar in roll in truck bed liner, durabak. It came out great but now I won't only bump my head but scratch it like 20 grit sandpaper as well!

Plumbing water pipe insulation from you local plumbing supply house. then wrap it with pipe wrap tape from the same supply house. Will last a long time as the tape is made to be exposed.
