Hood bumper pad removal?

Such a dumb question, but I'm a dumb guy. How do you remove the rubber pad from the hood bumper? I really want to reuse these, so I thought I'd ask here first instead of me just starting to yank the crap out of them. Thanks guys.

I believe there is a not on the back. If head spins you’ll need a 90-degree Phillips head. Mount has opening for straight Phillips, but under the pad you may need a 90-degree one. Or use vise grips and spin nut off.
 
For future searchers, it just pulls off. I grabbed some long-nose vice grips to probe around a bit, and discovered it was rubber. Pulled a bit and it came off. Here's a pic of the profile after removal:

Not really designed to be removed. Small flat blade screwdriver and patience can slowly push the cone shape in and lift the pad slowly. Work your way around and might get lucky. Does look like new pads are available. 53337-90301 is the part number.
