I hate to say it, but I can see my truck covered in Durabak in the next few years. I won't be repainting like Dan:flipoff2:.

Well someone stole my idea to paint my FJC desert dune.... maybe I can be the first Sun Fusion Rhinolined FJC on the road?

By the way, the other day I was out there. The obstacle that we watched the heavily modified jeeps go up, Jon and Ali tried up, and Onur has gone down was conquered by my 80.

Truth be told, I had two well placed rocks to almost clear my right slider (grind) to get up. Its doable but required a few action "clearance mods" to get 'er done. My 2.5 yo slept through the whole thing. My friend riding with me got out after the first attempt because he had had enough.:grinpimp:

I also went up a part I've never been up. Must have been an atv trail. I layed the left corner panel into the wall. No dent, just a few deep scratches. I hate to say it, but I can see my truck covered in Durabak in the next few years. I won't be repainting like Dan:flipoff2:.

Bring it on. She's been driving like mad since I put my "Lexus Trail Team" sticker on. Pink panties and all.

Nice Graham.....I told you it was just a matter of time before the notion of "aesthethics" is replaced by "damn, that was awesome!"

:grinpimp:

See ya Sunday.

I'll be dere. Like Rory said.... Turtle Mountain for beer, food, and festivities after seems like a good plan.:bounce::bounce2:

Dang - I can't make it. Hopefully next time.

sooo....

who is going that knows the trails back there? I sure don't.

I've ridden my dirt bike just about everywhere out there so I'm quite familiar w/the area. 2 weekends ago I went w/some Heepers and found a cool little run right off the main arroyo. Really flexi - my friend I was w/couldn't even get past the first two obstacales w/open diffs. And one YJ broke his shock mounts and spun his rear diff breaking his drive shaft. Then there's always the rocks to play on along the reservation border.

Here is our last run. I also have this in a Garmin file and a Google Earth KML. I also attached a previous run.

Check here and load up the trail on a GPS:

It's a good site to peruse anyway, even if it's run by a heap owner.

Ali bought the guys house, and I guess he has exorcised it he still has cruisers.

;-)

Hey guys,

Rudy again, just wondering if you are planing anything on the run that my stock 4Runner could not make (a common ? for me but just don't want to hold anybody up). Did the Rio Puerco run in April (I will be more prepared this time to the guys that helped me), unfortunately can't play until I get the 40 done. Feel like Jon with that thing. Have most of the wiring working just need to tuck it in, rebuild the front axle, and throw on the lift kit. I wanted to make the Tunnels run but had a friend in need.

Graham....and......me....and.....you....

Don't fret dude. We'll figure it out. And Turtle Mtn. sounds splendid after wheeling. Beer and Mac and Cheese.

:grinpimp:

Hold on a minute. I might not be there. I work the night before and then that night again. I'm thinking about it though.

:flipoff2:

non-sequiter: Graham....new days off for me: Tues-Thursday. If you ever want to wheel locally, give me a call....:grinpimp:

So, what time is good for everyone to meet Sunday AM?

Earlier the better for me considering it gets pretty hot, pretty quick.

Hey Rudy--

Yes, your stock 4Runner will be able to handle 99.999998% of the stuff at Rio Puerco. And for that .00000001 stuff that it can't, we've got trucks with winches, straps, etc. that we can used to help ya out.

Hope you can make it Sunday.

Best.

I'm game for starting 8:30 - 9:00. I get off at 7am and am looking to get it going the sooner the better.

Ok. We'll group up at the dunes at the beginning of the Puerco and at the end of Southern Blvd at 8am. We'll putz around, air down, etc. and hit the trails by 830am.

Sound good?

See you all Sunday am.

Done...I will push it to be there at 8:30. Won't take me long to air down if I do at all.
