Carnage: I busted the rear sway bar mount on the same rock that took out Evan's rear sway bar mount a year or two back.

-Mike-

Did you not remember that happening to Evan's truck until after you'd already done the damage? I remember standing near his truck with a firm grip on both kids so they didn't fall off the cliffs. I also remember hearing the loud clunk his truck made when that link broke. Wasn't it actually a bolt, not the link that broke?

You know, you don't have to do everything that Evan does just to prove your manliness.

You are of course, correct. I believe that I will NOT break my leg to prove my manliness. :D

Don't forget about my PS back door carnage!! Oh wait, carnage doesn' count on my truck since everything is pretty much carnaged....:crybaby:

Sounds like I missed a good time fellas! I guess Onur must get damaged on every outing

Let's see the carnage Mike!

Hello,

I had a great time myself. Good fun group to cruise with.

I don't feel as bad about spotting Mike into his carnage now that I know the rock has done it to others as well. I think "Broke Bar Mountain" is my new favorite obstacle out there. It was loads of fun.

We should keep up these impromptu outings since not all of us can always make the main group get together.

These impromptu outings are one of the main advantages of having a group of friends with the same interests. Having 8 vehicles turn out is a success any way you look at it. It was a good mix of long-time HDC members, new members, and guests.

A few years ago our club membership and participation was down a bit plus a few guys were struggling with broken rigs, new rigs, and other things. We had a planned monthly run to the Jemez area and only 1 rig showed up. 'Fish & Family. John could easily have turned around and gone home and bitched at the rest of us for not showing up but he didn't. In typical 'Fish style, he did the run, explored some new areas in the Jemez and did a club trip report with some cool pictures. Class act.

Speaking of class acts. I would like to compliment the group. My friend said that he expected a lot of testosterone to fill the air and figured it would be a chest beating croud but instead he said he thought it was cool that so many good people got together to have fun. My thoughts exactly.

I won't even bring up the shirtless wonder:grinpimp::flipoff2:. JK

On that note, with having Tuesdays-Thursdays off for the rest of the summer, I'd like to get together a couple of mid-week outings--two to three day things local here in NM or in CO/UT.

My first location of interest is to the VLA in Magdelena and the surrounding areas.

Wow. Looks (and sounds) like I missed a really good run. Pics look great.

It was a great run. The weather started out really nice, but as the day wore on it got really hot and fairly windy. All that aside, I couldn't think of a better way to spend my last weekend in New Mexico.

Thanks for leading us to all the fun Graham. Nice pics Mike and Rudy!!!

Looks like a great time - sorry I missed it! Great pictures from Rudy and Mike.

Mike is really wheeling that truck with his new tires and lift. "Broke Bar Mountain" (LOL)can be a real challenge, depending on what line you take. When I tackled it, I hit the bracket that connects the rear sway bar to the frame. The bracket survived, but the mounting bolt was sheared in two. I was able to drill out the broken bolt and replace it with a new one. Having said all that, I know the rear sway bar mounts are different on Mike's truck than my '93.

How about it Mike - what's it going to take to get yours repaired? Either that, or you can just decide you don't need no stinkin' rear sway bar anyway.

Evan

That's what I suggested. Sway bars only get in the way. :grinpimp:

Especially the rear one - the front can sort be justified for emergency maneuvers when braking...

I think he just said I took a sissy line since I didn't break anything.:grinpimp:
