Guessing this is the fuel pressure regulator. Very thankful for this forum. Anyone know what this thing is? It was below the battery, unhooked, and clearly not in use. I believe it was replaced and just left by the mechanics. ------- On a side note, Evaporust works great on this particular alloy. I know this thing is toast so I took the time to observe the effectiveness between vinegar and Evaporust.

I didn't realize I blew up someone else's thread till it was too late. I'll keep my Q&A here. I was wondering if this blower motor hose is supposed to go to something. It's free floating dangling out the bottom.

Well I went to put the Mystery oil in. Had everything ready but my 18 mm socket won't fit the giant hex on these spark plugs. It looks like I might need a 20 or 21 not sure. Anyone know what size I need for an F .5?

They make a special socket just for sparkplugs. It's called a "Sparkplug Socket".
Might be a 20mm, I dunno, I don't have a 20mm wrench.
My sparkplug socket looks like this...

Thanks for the 13/16 socket suggestion. I got the kit finally. My next question is if anyone knows what this mystery hose connector is and where it goes?

there should be a hose that goes from the valve cover to the air filter housing

A sparkplug socket is just that made for sparkplugs it has a rubber insert to help protect the porcelain part of the sparkplug

Worth the investment they’re not that much money😎

I'm diggin the red handle Tgrip. A buddy explained you do it by hand as your life will become one of misery if you strip out the threads.

So after checking the manual, this is not just an intake device to connect filter to carb. This thing has some type of air temp control feature. I looked inside it and I don't see any additional devices. I believe this is a manually cooled unit instead of a switch. I'm still curious if I'm supposed to find any type of device hiding inside this thing. Looks like that's what these two hose connectors are for. The book shows some type of air control valve. Perhaps it's just embedded in the wall of this thing. Diagram shows it resides between the two hose connections.

Pics might help
