Cage is now being welded in completely. It will be one with the body:grinpimp:
Got my 2009 5.3 SBC coming with only 34K on it. Gauges are in.....
Need to make dash panel soon. Will be working on a design and posting some pics soon....

Does the GPS speedo run off of GPS satellites or is that just the name brand of the speedo?

Great find on thr sbc ! That is some low miles!

What % of that top A pillar is welded to the downbar? Looks like the roof is preventing you from fully welding around it. I designed mine to have a full halo to prevent that. Are those B pillars tied to the frame underneath where you have them terminate at the floor? I like the cage nice & tight to the body but it takes a lot of planning to make sure you can get full welds around all connections

The A pillar is welded at the dash and will have a support from crossbar above front row seats to the A pillar corners with a large gusset on top....
I'll post more pics soon..,

Motor has arrived....

Well, my heart transplant is here. I ended up getting a 2009 5.3 with only 20K or so..AA bell housing fits nicely...need to pull out the H55 and put all these together with a new coat a paint. Excitement is building...:):)

Looks good, just like mine. Question, what throw out arm, are you useing. I've got everything new, except the arm. What clutch and pressure plate, did you go with.

I got my clutch stuff from Georg, at Valley Hybrids. Centerline products. I beleive you use the toyota arm, but I'm not sure if you need one from a 4 speed or if they are all the same.

Years ago, I put a chevy in my 40 and used the Toy. arm. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Front Heater

I've decided to use this RARE Denso Clamshell heater for the front. It's from a 63 FJ40. I've taken it apart and the motor and everything works. I'll clean it up, powdercoat it and throw in in the front. I think that'll look sweet and unique......:D Might not have a rear heater, but I will want A/C. Hoping to get back at it in August. Heading to Maui for 3 weeks....:flipoff2::beer::beer:

Hey Landcruisnman,

I was wondering what happened. Hoping you got your motor in, so I could get some more ideas, before I attempted it. Good hearing from you and look forward to your build.

Time......

Well, I got the old motor out and the new motor bolted to the Trans/Trnsfr and mocked up. Next we'll build new motor and trans mounts. ......stay tuned...
