Relic Run Oct 19

A few 40s wanna hit up Whitetail Reservoir Oct 19 (Saturday). We drive slow, talk about 40s, drink coffee, take pictures, drive even slower, then talk about 40s some more. If that sounds like a fun day for you, come join us. Maybe 1989 and older might be a good fit. If you have something newer than 1989, you can still come along, but bring lots of gifts and plan to receive a ration of cr@p for bringing your space car to an earth event.

I'll update this first post with particulars when they become solidified.

When: October 19th, Saturday. The run will be a day trip, but camp before/after if you want.
Trail Run starts at 9:00 am. Be aired down and ready to roll at 9.

Where: Whitetail Reservoir (Pipestone area).
Meetup spot is Four Corners Trailhead in Pipestone. Coordinates and Link 45.94577, -112.27524
If you wanna wagon train out with other rigs, meet at Belgrade Albertsons at 7:00 am. We'll leave there around 7-7:15 am. Post up if you want to wagon train so we know who to look out for.

Yes, your rig will get scratches. Yes, your rig will get buried to the axles in mud and need a recovery.
No, this isn't a junk run. Bring a trail tested rig that can wheel all day.

That language exists in the event you should need to show your accountant there is a winch requirement, and that your accountant should release funds without prejudice. In the event your accountant refuses to release funds, or has prejudice, with replies that include "dog house", "over my dead body", or "ah hell naw", previous requirement for winch will be waived for the participant. (We haven't left a 40 behind yet! )

i think i'd put the sniper 2 ahead of the winch, odds are you won't get stuck and if you do we'll get you out hopefully. looking forward to this one

i was just talking to Sam and he's got that time off and is planning to tag along with probably his 55. he's coming all the way from casper just to be with the old rigs. i hate to say it but this could turn into something pretty darn big for the club.

I was watching this youtube video to get a feel for what we are going into.
Looks like we might need a couple chainsaws in case there are any downed trees in the trail.

Looks like a saw is a great idea as that grew cut down a handful of trees. I'm pretty sure this is the same group @geo5 and I saw earlier this year up in pipestone. If it is they are all running 40s now. Either way it looks like a fun trail with an interesting ending in the mud!! cant wait
