90% in... I have to get some things sorted..... Sorry for the delay.

This rain/snow up high should make the mud pit at the end fun! See everyone in a couple days!

I intended to work on my wiring but ended up patching some metal into my rusted out rear sill instead because my rear doors wouldn't open. With luck, I'll find a minute to make a new battery hold down tomorrow.

Think I got the stuff sorted.... as of now planning to be there. I can be out of the way if needed.....

Also, I think I found a loophole to join the ride.... So, it might look like a 4Runner, but it's just a body kit....

I'll be running 146.460 on the 2m and channel 15 on the GMRS.

I should have an extra radio with me if anyone needs comms.

@elkun1 Didn't see you on the way out or on the way home, so I assume you made it home safe. That was a real bummer situation, but I'm glad you didn't get stranded.

as it turned out we should have went on to the lake, that bolt didn't move a bit even though the clamp fell off right away. this one has me scratching my head, there was also a nut missing on the front end. i had just checked all those nuts and greased the shackles in the last week. i'm wondering if the integrity of those nuts got compromised, we changed out the leafs i believe 3 times after the shackle reversal trying to get it to sit somewhat level. all i know is when i replace the bushings and pins on all 4 corners i'm using red loctite on them. what a year for nuts coming loose. also i get to order a clutch master, had to double pump the clutch to disengage it, that just started on this run. and finally thanks Darren, you jinxed me lol. we took the old road to whitehall and there's a section that's kinda rough, gave the old girl the dreaded death wobble. that was the only section of road it happened on but that was enough so when i'm ordering parts i will also get new tie rod ends. this trip was a ball, wish we would have gone on to the lake as it turned out. who knew duct tape would hold a shackle pin in place, it didn't move a bit. i'm waiting to hear how the final water crossing went, that one can be kinda interesting. Trask had a ball, he thrives on this stuff. and finally Darren, I have a feeling your off road driving days are limited and you will now be relinquished to the passenger seat. Your daughter was phenomenal.
and finally 1 more thing, Seth did you look for that injection system trask was talking about

Yes! I found the local listing, which I think could work. I also checked out the Fi Tech website. They have kits that include a remote tank with a high pressure fuel pump. The whole kit costs about what you'd spend on the fuel pump from Holley. I'm going to do a bit more research before spending any real money, but that could be a good solution.

Glad you made it back in one piece. The final water crossing was a bit anticlimatic. We walked over there to check it out. The ground looked pretty solid till we investigated further. The shallow puddles only appeared shallow. Matt took a stick and pushed it into the ground, only to have the stick almost disappear.... There was a makeshift bridge that people lashed and screwed together.... some screws sticking into the air. So, a little chainsaw work with the "cute chainsaw" and we got the bridge in a semi-crossable state. We did the wise thing.... we volunteered for Aaron to go across it. We figured if his rig couldn't make it, then none of ours could..... not sure we really thought about the consequence if he fell through the bridge now that I think about it....:doh:On the bright side, he made it, and we went to the reservoir. The trail from there was narrow and nice!

I'm glad you made it home safely. It's a bummer that you didn't continue to the next stop.

My victory picture is below.

@elkun1 I'm glad to hear you made it out. It was spooky to hear that the front bolts were also loose. I have added a few large bolts to my spare parts bin in the 4runner just in case.

Great time out there this weekend with everyone!
