Reliable FJ40 Mechanic - Western Slope Colorado (1 Viewer)

First, my thanks to everyone on ih8mud. You are a great community and always very helpful. I am starting to reach the age where some jobs are just too big for me or I no longer have the tools and space to do the work. My long-time "go-to" mechanic was older than me and sold his shop a few years ago. The new ownership just doesn't have the same skills and care for old FJ40s (a 1969 one-owner in my case).

Does anyone know a trustworthy mechanic or shop somewhere between Edwards and Rifle Colorado. Glenwood Springs or Carbondale would be ideal. I will be needing a full brake job (drum brakes and cylinder rebuilds/new) and maybe tie-rod ends in the near future. Maybe a new head gasket in the future.

Keith did some great work for me when i lived in GJ. He was the mechanic for Safari LTD. before it closed

I’m not sure if Mike at Metric Offroad is taking on new work or not?

Those are both in GJ, I don’t know of any other Toyota mechanic on the west slope.
