Registration renewals, anyone with issues?

Hope they get it fixed by March 2022 when I have to renew my 40.Don't know if this will help anyone, but I had an hour today to spent on hold.
After the upgrade this spring, anything "Old" that has a short vin number, i.e. FJ40***** was automatically listed as a trailer.
I am upgraded in the system, Tab is valid, and they are sending a new registration.
Just transferred a title and registered my 40 last week. Also received a temp tag that says TRLR. The rep at the DMV assured me it’s not a big deal. It also appears that I can purchase the Horseless Carriage license plates, which is very tempting.
By the way, the lady also didn’t even care about the antique car insurance through Hagerty so I could bypass emissions. She put in the VIN and it automatically let her bypass any emissions requirements.

Surprisingly no. 3rd party location actually told me that couldn’t get it going in their system even with the proof of insurance.
I made an appointment and went to an actual ADOT location in Scottsdale and they took care of it. I specifically told her I want to make sure I avoided emissions and she didn’t seem to care about Hagerty insurance at all. She put in the VIN and told me it wasn’t requiring emissions and just pushed it through. When I received the temp tag showing it was listed as a trailer I was worried that she may have done it wrong, but she assured me that it’s normal and it’s listed that way because of the short VIN. I’m just rolling with it.
Just logged into MVD Now and it’s showing as a 1971 Non-Standard, but it’s titled and registered and has normal plates so seems like all is fine.
I bet DPS has seen a lot of these "motorized" trailers by now. Someone here had a relative or friend in DPS - be good to know their take on this sitch 
I decided to call them after the long wait. They reissued a new one, and I got it finally.
FWIW, I did emissions testing on my GX470 on Saturday, renewed the plates online when I got home, and had my new sticker by Thursday. So whatever backup or extended waiting times they had going on have been remedied, at least in my instance.
never got a sticker, either - and last time I tried to call they weren't even answering any phone calls
