Recommend a driveshaft shop?

Figured I'd add my 2 cents in here since this is an OLD thread...

I've used Phx R&A in the past and they were ok.

Something happened there because their quality went way downhill recently. Cannot recommend.

Took my 62's rear shaft to get shortened after a lift. Picked it up as scheduled, but I noticed there were no balance weights on it. Odd. Drove home and installed it. Of course it vibrated like I had square wheels. So... I had to plan another day to take it off, drive 15 miles downtown and let them know it wasn't right. To my surprise the driveline guy took it back immediately and about 15 minutes later came back and it had weights in 3 different spots across the length of the driveshaft. No apology, no acknowledgement of what a pain in the ass this could be for a customer.

Not as bad - but it still vibrates.

I have an H55 swap coming up so I'll need both shaft lengths changed. Certainly won't be going to PR&A.

I used Woody's a while back for a new front driveshaft. Had a very good experience with them.

My 'big spender Jeep' buddies go to Home - Arizona Driveshaft & Differential - https://azdriveshaft.com in Mesa. They've also helped me diagnose, but never had work done. Nice folks, and appear to serve the racing community. Would go to again if needed.
The guy that runs the fab shop at work used to work there and only has good things to say about them - said he'd see if he could "hook me up" when I do my trans swap - so maybe I'll have something to report then.

They made a new front driveshaft for my FJ40. I have zero vibrations on the front driveshaft and they made it with super thick walled heavy-duty tubing and Spicer u-joints. Well made & perfectly balanced.

Other than them throwing away my perfectly good bent Toyota driveshaft with almost new u-joints I'm really happy with their work.
