There certainly a lot of therapy in that 40! But hey, look at all the money your saving not going to counseling.:grinpimp: Great work Michael.
Thanks but taking it apart is the easy bit.

More dismanteling of the tub.

Found some bondo.

Some people think they can replace steel with bondo as long as there is enough on there.

Had some issues with the tank straps, one of the bolts was tightened up against the floor pushing it up.

More disassembling

Some parts of the rear are rusted but most of the steel looks clean with factory primer.

That's crazy how some parts are rusted away and others are in such good shape.

That is what surprises me too.
Some things ar related to the damage from the crash but a lot is from before.
Lots of rust between overlapping steel.

I have been using Rust Sergeant on my Fj40 with great results. Clean up that frame and give it a coating and it should be all ready for paint.

Frame is not my concern yet.
First the rest of the tub will come off than the engine and a power wash for the frame.
Frame looks good except for some sections of the rear, they need some welding.
I'm thinking about having it blasted after the tub is complete again.

Prepared the patches for the rear filler frame. Ready to repair when the back is back together.
