I just saw a pic that got me thinking...

This is a 99 which I think is a fj100, right?

Is it common to change the low mounted one on the 80 to something like this? Anyone offer a kit, or just get used parts?

Any other models have this high mounted sway bar?

Myself and a few others have installed a Currie Anti-Rock rear anti sway bar. I’ve never seen where a bar from a 100 was adapted to an 80.

That's a great setup. Should be for the price.
I was thinking about $50 at a junkyard for one from a 100.

Like everything else, the price has increased since I did mine. However, it can be packaged well and works as advertised. No more breaking sway bar links and literally tearing bars off.

where did this pic come from? It's bringing up so many questions for me!!!! I didn't think the rear sway bar was moved to a new location but I could be wrong.

It's a complete custom build on Facebook. So nice. Diesel and SAS swap.

That's about USD$28k.

Pretty sure this one had a detailed build thread on the now gone LCOOL forum. Really well done chop and conversion.

He would have sunk double that into it.

In that case should be easy. Gas tank is an issue on stock 80s so you won't see any guys running a swaybar like that here.
