Rear cargo space (1 Viewer)

Currently own '97 80 series and suburban; wife has '13 GX 460. I am thinking of switching to a GX 470 and building. With 3rd row seats removed what could the open space be compared to?

It compares to your 80 series 100% You loose a couple inches at the floor because the plastic side panels curve out.

X2 on what Mark said, if you're lucky enough to find a gx that didn't come with the 3rd row package then you get a tad more cargo room.

No problem, they are out there but my understanding is most dealers ordered them with that option but good luck in your search.

My 2004 does not have the third row option, it does add enough space to be noticeable between my other GX.

They're very rare - the downside is you don't get rear AC.

In some parts of the country AC doesn't matter. I'll give you that.

I've always wanted to find the plastic cargo shrouds from a non 3rd row gx and swap them in but never put much effort into looking.

Disagree big time, it's been a while since I measured but the GX470 cargo area is 8-10" narrower than my 80 series, it makes a huge difference.

LOL, yea no rear AC in Michigan probably isn't a big deal. In the summer here in Phoenix, inside car temperatures can reach 180 degrees. That's no joke!

I guess you are right, It fells like just a couple inches like I mentioned but I guess its 78 Cubic Ft. compared to 91 Cubic Ft. for the LC.

There are no GX's local to you? That seems surprising - they tend to be everywhere.

My rear passages never complains about it getting hot in the back, but when she starts panting, I'm thinking she's hot. Had ceramic tint put on the rear windows, makes a difference
