My Rear A/C button is always illuminated. Pressing the button doesn't make the light turn on or off, nor does it override any settings at the rear ceiling controls.

Any ideas on the issue?

Its likely the button is not functioning properly. Basically the contacts under the switch get dirty with age and fail to register that the button has been pressed. Try pressing it and moving it around as you press it to try and temporarily get it to work. There is a thread on here about how to remove and clean the switch or how to solder in new replacements.

If you press "OFF" on the ceiling control, does the light go out? If so, your dash button probably need rebuilt/cleaned/replaced as @awesomeissquid mentioned.

Confirmed the rear ceiling controls will turn off the dash light. I'll dig around for the button cleaning thread. Thanks!

EDIT: Found the comprehensive thread here. Options are: 1) cleaning the contact area under the button, 2) replacing the rubber "hat" which contains the conductive piece that completes the circuit; 3) de-solder/re-solder entire new button; or 4) replace entire circuit board.
