I wanted one of these split frames for so long. Now that I'm topless I don't need one but I had one on my '63 VW bus and the pop out glass is awesome in a closed cab vehicle. I was thinking of doing this to my LV but now that I'm close to paint that'll probably never happen. Too cool.

Just wondering, these are pretty rare how many are there out in the real world. I looked for one about 3 years and fell on one out of the blue was just lucky I guess.

I'll admit I didn't even know they existed until this thread... so much want! One of the coolest features in the VW bus I had no idea it was available in a 20 series

They are out there but very hard to find, to make them work you will have to do some mods no big but have to realize these were for Packistan army vehicles and were on the rough side. I have made mods for the windshield wipers and as this here we are hopefully going to get some rubber for the seals. I love mine just a little different from the normal.
