Not a rattlesnake based on the head and tail - most likely as @Living in the Past mentioned is a bull snake. Keep them healthy to keep your rats at bay.Rattlesnake imitator?? Who knows what this is? Kill 'em all.We have a local here in Patagonia who works for the Audubon group and moves snakes for free. Vs. killing them.
No need to remove any other snakes - I encourage all other snake species to hang around the house - it helps (a little) to keep the diamondbacks awayin Fountain Hills, the fire department will come out and remove rattlers, but not other snakes - for free
we have king snakes around the property (although I have never seen a full-size adult in 10 years; a small one once invaded the house and after a short chase decided to hide under a kitchen cabinet; we don't know what happened to it after we quickly taped shut all the access to that space; no stinkNo need to remove any other snakes - I encourage all other snake species to hang around the house - it helps (a little) to keep the diamondbacks away![]()
