Hello, anyone have any suggestions on what radiator to buy for a 1977 fj40? I have stock motor and restoring everything but I want to put in a new radiator while I have everything apart. I was thinking I should do 4 row aluminum but there are so many choices and brands that not sure. This is my first fj40 so not sure what to do.

Thanks

Contact Beno for this OEM unit if still available: 16400-49356

I just replaced mine with OEM from the dealer. I was leaking from the water pump however and my old one may be good. They will pressure test it and if it's good I will offer you a good deal if interested.

What @GA Architect said I bought the same unit. Very nice and of course perfect fitment!

Mine is an earlier truck, a 1970, but I got in touch with @beno and the new radiator is on its way.

beno is your man, I got one from him as well
Only way to go

stay with oem if you can i got one from summit made for dirt track racing all welded but its not a bolt in

With radiators, the product lives and dies on the packaging. @beno is the man. Radiator is packaged for a bomb hit and therefore arrives at your doorstep in perfect condition.

There's only one way to do this. And it's Beno.

Beno is great. But, just to add info to the thread, I ordered one through my local Toyota dealer and it showed up in great shape. When we looked into it at the beginning of summer, there were very few of these (~20) still available and it didn't sound like more were coming. Might be worth grabbing one if you are on the fence.

Funny. Obvious whomever you are dealing with have no idea how to interpret Toyota parts classification system.

That said, most of them are just key punchers and box kickers.

They don't give a s*** whether the part fits a Camry or Land Cruiser.

And most everyone just wants the best fxxxing deal.

Even Land Cruisers arw beholden to the Wal Mart mentality.

And thanks for your support.

If I'm interpreting that right, these are not in short supply or disappearing in the immediate future. Great news. I know there is a lot that is NLA, but I'm amazed at all the parts that are still available for my '74.

The aftermarket offered an inferior product for less money and the Wal Mart shoppers of Land Cruisers shifted to buying them.

Toyota let them.

Body parts are the first to go because dealers don't do body work.
