1977 fj40 fan belt

It is my understanding that the oem fan belt on the 77 fj40 is 17mm wide. I bought a belt that I thought would work but it's only 15mm wide. Can I use it? With it being so much more narrow will the belt walk?

Guys, I am trying to get my PS conversion belt and my AC/WP belt to be the same. I want to run a top cog gold label belt from dayco, as I have on my PS side on my AC side. Thing is, to match my PS belt, the belt is a 17510 (13A1295), the width is just under 1/2" and sits lower in the pulley...

measured my new OEM belt--16.8 mm at widest, 11.50 deep--think a 15 mm will squeal like a pig as soon as the fluid coupling gets engaged(around 2900 rpm)
