Does anyone know if the Quick Hinges are still being made? I ordered a set from MC design offroad in July, They took my money but never sent them, I have emailed them multiple times but never had any response. Thanks

Ok, I’ve been deliberately quiet for a while because I unintentionally F’ed up with redrawing parts in Solidworks at my day job without realizing it was set to too wide of tolerances for making new parts for production.

I had 322 door halves (flats and rounds), roughly 40 Regular Sets worth, made and welded together and while starting to press hinge bolts I realized that the small ID of the door “rounds” were way too big.

Now I’m in the process of an additional machining and processing step to close up the tolerances so that I can feel safe sending you all parts that you pay for.

I will not ship shoddy parts.

I anticipate having them moving soon, and will update again when I feel safe sharing.

Ontop of all of that, my son left to move to Denver, left his preggers dog with us so we get to care for her and now 7 new pups as of today.

He’s in his 2nd week of onboarding with United for his maintenance training in Houston. He will come home in two weeks to quickly pack his Sh!t into a truck and get it all to Denver.

I have to be at home for all of that and shift my Air Force obligations for a later date as long as my command people allow me to.

As of today the door halves-about 320 of them are being final prepped for me to pick up early next week and start pressing bolts.

I’ll have to stamp them for mounting location and then coat and wrap them and I can begin a lot of shipping.

Just a quick update, I picked up the rest of my door halves before leaving work Friday.

My son finished his 3 weeks of United onboarding and I had the honor of picking him up at the GRR airport at midnight. This morning we picked up his moving truck and proceeded to move the really dumb heavy stuff in first. After all of the rest including some old AF throw away tool boxes I used while Active Duty-the truck is packed for a 3am departure for Denver.

The pups and mama are staying here.

I drove my wife to GRR to fly out to Denver today so she could do mom stuff with paint prep my son doesn’t have the vision for.

Tomorrow me and my dog will be in the basement pressing bolts and prepping parts for shipment.

Monday the pup and me will take the taco to GRR to go help unload the truck and fly back home late so mama and I can go back to work.

I’ll be working on shipping sets after some day job and rest stuff. I’m pretty whooped already.

The pics are my daughter “helping”, pics of the dumb bowling alley floor chunk, another heavy butcher block work table, and more pups.

I had to put off a busy AF drill weekend to make up later to get this all done.

These look great! I’ve been following and hoping I could get my rig ready for these and I think I’m finally ready. Do you have any unsold / ready-to-ship stock?

Order placed!

If anyone might like t-shirts or hoodies, they are reliably available through my website. It took a lot of work with multiple vendors to get it sorted.
