Hi guys after a long time I have now managed to buy an 80 series and I am in love with it.... I am intending to do the following few jobs:

1) Chrome Bull Bar with Spot Lights
2) Roof Bar with Spot Lights
3) New O2 Sensor
4) Blue Bulbs in Odometer
5) Xenon Headlights
6) Reverse Camera

These are the things I am intending to do in near future and before I do that I will be cleaning the window runners as my passenger side windows are not working and other 2 are very slow in moving up and down.

Any advise will be appreciated...

:meh: Address that rust issue!

The only rust I could see is on the frame of the LPG tank. The rest of the car is clean.

Good looking truck. Looks like a minor power steering leak. You may want to remove, grind and paint that mounting rack before too long.

Yeah I didn't scroll through all of your pics...the rusty one caught my eye. Congrats and welcome to the club! These Cruisers are pure brute! The first mod that was a must for me to tackle is the stereo system. Biggest bang for buck upgrade in my opinion. How many miles on the clock?

When I bought the truck it had an old single din stereo with a big gap on top of it. I have now replaced it with double din stereo with sat nav, dvd, TV, Bluetooth etc. Its all singing and dancing...The mileage is 165K.

The stereo also has an option of reversing camera hence I will be adding a camera too.

Welcome to the club! I'd suggest taking some time to do an overall baseline of it too :)

I can see that the previous owner had it done but good idea I should get another one done. It really cold and wet in Scotland and I am not sure whether to do it now or wait till spring...

Mbilal1983, what receiver did you use? Want to switch mine but can't make up my mind.

grease the birfs, do an oil change now, maybe a coolant change, too - and the rest as it presents itself as a problem

I am not sure what you mean by receiver? I bought a double din aftermarket stereo which has all the features. The best one is either Kenwood or Alpine or Pioneer but they are too expensive. I bought a chinese version whilst on holiday and it only cost me around 100 dollars
