Dammn, It's looking good! I guess you're keeping it now!

I started in on the exhaust today...Its more complicated then orginally planned but most things are. I was under the impression I would be able to reuse my old down pipes that where in good condition.....Nope....They interfer with a body mount and slider tube. So a ALL new exhaust must be made..

Here's a good cheap source of mandrel bends:
http://www.globaltecheng.com/elbows.htm?OVRAW=mandrel%20bends&OVKEY=mandrel%20bends&OVMTC=standard
Or you could always buy a Flowmaster truck universal truck tailpipe kit. It comes with a few mandrel bends and some pipe, cut to fit.

Thanks man, I wish I could just use my JD2 to bend it...just don't have the dye for it.

Would be funny if I could, I would see if I could bend the whole thing after the down pipes with one piece of tube. ;p

If youve just bought 33s I guess the 6 inch lift is out:D

Man that thing would be cool with 6inch lift and 37s

Paul

Yeah....it sure would.

There is already a two inch lift on there just by knocking off a 1000 pounds from the 80 series...

But I already have a trail rig. If I dint have to DD it so far I would be game. If a diesel ever makes it way in there I may move up in tire size to a 35/37. It just doesn't make much sense to have the same tires as my trail rig at the moment. When I graduate this January and hopefully get a better job with some better cash flow it might just get lifted...

Til then I am gonna try to be practical:doh:

That came out fantastic. That will be one hell of a driver.

Keep it up! I wish i could be working on my s***.

Woohooo...

Tires got here today....

Took 5 days to get here from Cali....freee shipping turned out to be 484 for a set of 4

Gotta love pizza cutters (33 by 9.5)

Anywho...got some more work done. Started in on the exhaust....Super stoked, I found out that the stock size exhaust tubing fits in my tubing bender. Which means I am going to bend up a nice new exhaust system.

This weekend I will prob just spend removing the wheels and cleaning them up, Hopefully I will be able to find a tire shop tomorrow to mount and balance the new treads. The weather suppose to be crappy, I dont mind working in light rain but if it gets to bad I might not even get the tires on.

But....if ever thing works out well hopefully I will have some pictures of the new shoes on the fj68 tomorrow night..

Til then...

Heres a not so great picture...

Ill grab some better ones this week.

I cleaned up the rims a bit when I got them mounted...I really dig the look of it. Worth the money even though it was on my credit card and will take a bit to pay them off.

so what all do u have left to be driveable?

-exhaust
-rear driveshaft
-bleed brakes
-body mount bolts
-bushings for shocks

Thats just to make it drive able....and I will take it for a spin once that list is done.

But to be done with the project...add these to the list

-Bumpers front and rear
-Qrter chop
-Two-tone
-t-case shifters
-Paint front grill
-Clean and paint axles
-Pinion seals
-Rubber splash guards in front fenders
-e-brake cable

Off the top of my head that will finish up the project...

The fj68 is getting close to being done....
