A few more shots of the FC Fabs custom cage. Definitely a piece of hardware that will save my butt if the oily side goes up.

Off to the shop tomorrow to get the final fitment of the Corbeau seats and Ididit steering column. Will likely have a few more pics to share tomorrow night.

Steve

Looking at those seats again today sure nice. Skip

Corbeau LG-1's. I sat in a lot of different seats, and these felt right. Went with leather and heated options. Enough room for an 8" Tuffy box between.

I am not a big guy, just have long legs which means having the seats all the way back on the rails. I definitely can appreciate how tough it is for the 6' and over crowd to fit in a 45.

Don will be buttoning up the cage early in the week and forge onwards with the sliders...going with .250 Dom due to the length.

That cage is looking great along with the seats A+, Makes me get hungry for more time with my 40 to 45 hybread, working on the frame now. Your rig has inspired me big time. Skip

Thanks Steve, that is some solid under body protection. I am going to create something similar, but I will need to do a temp install of all the running and incorporate the Pto winch gearbox into my design. Thanks for the ideas mate. I'm enjoying your progress! Keep it coming.

More interior work...time for Don to make the trans-tunnel fit the H55F and Splitcase. Turn away if your stomach is turned by a bit of cutting and trimming of the previously unadulterated tunnel. What was once one-piece is now two.

How to NOT do a power booster install. Hack, hack, hack. Don's work is well-thought-out, executed perfectly...the PO basically used a torch on anything in his way. :bang:

Looks like the frame and bed are to be shortened early in the week. Will be up at the shop on Friday to hash-out the interior/dash layout.

LWB + FC187 + Sawzall = bobbed bed

Well, all I can say is that Don (FC187) is a master sheetmetal worker and welder. The following is a small excerpt of what he did to remove essentially "one hook" length from the bed. All of this from a printout of another LWB, with a fold in the paper and a bit of ink marked as to where I wanted it bobbed. Amazing.

That is some smick work! You have made me a very very jealous man. Beds like that are tuff to find in Oz unfortunately. Most prefer steel trays. Man I want one of those beds!

Looking forward to a pic of it back on the chassis with the cab!!! The bobbed length looks great in the pics.
