Looking forward to a pic of it back on the chassis with the cab!!! The bobbed length looks great in the pics.

Here you go. It looks ridiculous on 31's

Spent the day at the shop mapping out the next parts of the build with Georg and Don...rear bumper, fuel cell, headache rack and tire mount, dash. Also dropped off a set of split-rims at Stockton Wheel to be re-barreled to 17x8's with a 5" BS to bring the wheels inwards just a wee bit with the 60 series axles.

You probably should chuck some 35's on that thing! Man it looks the goods, the tub length ratio looks fantastic IMO. That is lookin the goods there Steve!!!!!!!! As Borat would say" it's a very nice" by the way I hate you right now!

I two say, looking good !!! Just to know, what is cab to axle and axle to end on the bed it is a good combo and eye appealing. When I grow up I want my 45 to look just like yours...;) keep up the great work georg.

Going with a set of Toyo Open Country MT in LT285/75R17 which equates to a skinny 34X11.50R17. Is only .7 inch smaller than their "35", but much skinnier and twelve pounds lighter, which I like.

Wait until the bumper appears next...Don and I have some pretty cool design ideas for the lights, license and protection for the bed.

A few more shots of the tailgate.

The original chain-pins at the top were bent, stripped and a complete mess. Don noticed that a standard TEQ seatbelt bolts had the right stand-off diameter to work...the only issue was that the size of those bolts is 11mm, which is not a common tap. Fortunately a 7/16 fine is just three-thousandths off, and can be used. They threaded in perfectly, and are much more stout than the ones from the factory.

Looks like the truck is now on Georg's side of the shop...a quick photo sent showing the 60 Series Booster, 80 Series Brake Master and 60 Series Clutch Master. It is a tight fit, but should result in brakes which haul the truck down quickly and easily. Plus the Racor/Ford Fuel Filter/Water Separator fits nicely below and to the right.

More engine-compartment updates from Georg. This time it is the custom cool-air-intake using an OEM air cleaner assembly, routed to the side vent which is no longer needed for the heater.

I have more hair than that!

Hey, Georg.

I shudder to think--is this like when they pixelate THAT part of the photos when Lindsey Lohan and her buddy, Paris, get out of their cars?

there's a visual, huh Michael?!

Well, Georg took the picture, so it is definitely not him...and as he said a wee bit more hair on his head.

Hint, there is a green canoe and piggie in the background. No need to worry, Georg has the source-file which needs no high-tech digital zoom to see who it is.

A few more of the dash bits have arrived...certainly NOT the final layout, but I definitely like the gauges. Clean, simple and very readable VDO gauges. Going with the red back-lighting and Carling switches.
