love the zombie light switch, cause you never know when it will get that ugly!!!!!!

Up at the shop today to "ink" the layout of the dash...ten carling switches, AC controls, USB, 12v, Boost, EGT, and an analog clock will all grace the newly cleansed space. Have also decided to add an interior winch-control switch for the 8274.

Will shoot a few pics once the "cutting" has been done.

Awesome project! I can't wait to see it finished. I certainly didn't see all this potential in that ugly truck when it was for sale. Congrats for your vision and having the resources available to make it happen. That will be a great driver, just the way a 45 should be.

Steve

Made it down about a week ago and saw it looks great in the pics but better in person, pics just don't do it justice, when my newly acquired 45 grows up I want it to be just like yours....;)

Been a while, any progress made in the past few months?

It's hibernating .......

February! Lately been acquiring more bits such as tires and wheels, which should be done in the next few weeks, and a set of donor doors to be cut into half-doors for summer. Had a hiccup with the wheel powder coating, but that should be sorted out shortly. Trust me, once we have some progress worth reporting there will be a detailed post with plenty of Cruiser-Porn to satisfy the masses.

Hear Ya Steve
Gathering parts and getting them ready is more of a hassle than fabing the stuff most of the time, we are all anxious to see more porn as you are to get it moving further.

Spring is here, so time to bring the project out of hibernation. Wheels back from the powder coater after a few hiccups in the color/coating. Should have the tires mounted shortly...and hoping to get the motor out and on the stand for compression testing.

A few bits and pieces have trickled in over the past week...a bit like Christmas.

Now, if I could only get a compression tester for the 1HD-FT done, then we could move forward with the mechanical side of things.

Handed off at TNS to Georg the clutch, pressure plate, Awl-TEQ headache rack, and the SnapOn M3585 compression test tool.

Looks like a quick grind to the SnapOn tool helped to make it fit the 1HD-FT! Crossing fingers for good compression numbers later this week.

Any chance the pictures can be fixed? I just bought a 1HDFT to put in my 45 and i'm in the investigation period of the swap right now :hillbilly:
