Some of you might remember my first build. I saved the fenders off that thing, and will be scavenging a couple pieces. Already borrowed part of the inner fender support to patch up the Moviestar. I am also going to swap out the upper fender-to-a pillar tabs. The 78 fenders have a reinforced tab. Guess they figured out that the old style just kept snapping off. Amazing that I got anything usefull off those things!

Made some big steps today. Tacked in the rear left corner from the Frankencruiser. Spent about 3 hours getting it all clamped and aligned, came out great. The screw holes for the rear marker light are right where they should be.

That is some serious surgery!

Can you show me the reinforced tabs? I am not following you...

Pics from today.
Newly fabricated lower front fender patch and bracing. New and old stuff

Main patch fitted. Bad pic, it lined up really well, but does not show well in this pic.

Back side of the patch, bedliner coating before putting the brace back on should prolong its life.

And for good measure, bedline coating on the front apron, inside wheel wells and vent box. Take that future rust!!!!

Wow! Very impressive work! Hoping to do the same here very shortly. Love how your corners came out.

I would put a smilie in here but they don't have any that are happy enough.

That is SO BEAUTIFUL.

You are A GOD.
