idk if you want to be much wider lol. Full with is pretty wide.

You might consider recessing the towers into the frame rails. I like how mine turned out though I haven’t driven it yet. This setup is iteration 2 for me. I also considered moving my upper mounts rearward but they interfered with my sway bar.

FYI, mine is not a full width axle. It is 63” WMS.

I wanted to feel like I accomplished something worth while on “stretch” this weekend. Had my buddy come over and spray some Cygnus White on the top and bezel

Matt, won’t make it in “Stretch Armstrong” but I’ll be there in Ole Blue. Actually going to Windrock next Saturday May 6th

Been sorting the rear suspension with some help from the owner of local four wheel drive shop. Think I have an idea now on fixing the rear coil overs.

Axle needs to be moved back a little. Gotta plan for when you want bigger tires.

I know this game. It looks great. What are your upper mounts fastened to?
Johnny, I doubt that I will want bigger tires.

Mike, I'll be reusing the original Barnes mounts. Making some adjustments to them and they will be welded back to the frame.

Got my towers leaned in at the top and tacked back into place. Still need to notch the frame for clearance when axle is fully drooped.

This will be nice when you are done. I am excited to see how you notch and brace your frame. I was disappointed when I learned that my frame needed to be notched but I am quite happy with the results. I am considering adding another c-channel behind my notch for additional strength when pulling a trailer.

Needed to see a little progress on this project. Got the new to me dual tire carrier/basket mounted up.

Decided to put “stretch” under the knife today. Cut the rear frame and boxed in the are for my coil overs to clear. Still need to do a bunch of welding and grinding but it’s a start.
