are you planning on tieing the cage to the frame?
Yes sir, planning on 1/4” plates on both sides of body to tie in the cage to the frame

The rear is coming back together nicely. More stitch welding to do.

JTO 👎 IMO.

Check out the Kwik Wire products, just as nice or better than Painless at probably 1/2 the price. And 14 circuits frankly isn’t near enough when you’ve got additional electronics, fuel injection, lights, ARB compressors, etc that all need power. Think I got a 22 circuit for the 715

I used one of their full harnesses in my 40 and would do it again.

Got them all welded in and ground down. Next up is to pull the body off and sandblast the whole thing.

Got the body off yesterday. Blasted it and put a couple of coats of epoxy on it. Didn’t get any pictures of the blasting process.

Boils down to how much extra stuff you’re running. 12 would not be nearly enough for me.

Interior lights, electric fan, ARB compressor, etc. I like to keep all that stuff on separate circuits

Similar idea....champion cc-180LS

I used the stock LS mechanical fan so I wound up dropping the radiator support down about 2 in and over to the passenger side about 2 in. This almost centered the fan on the stock 2F shroud and made room for the lower hose to get from the water pump to the radiator without being close to the fan.
If you're running electric fans you probably don't have to move the radiator, but having the inlet and outlet both on the passenger side makes for a very easy hose runs

I should add champion also sells that radiator with electric fans and a shroud with several options on the fan type for a TurnKey solution

I’d have to look, 22 circuit I think.

I only have 12 circuit model. Was included with the truck so I used it. I don’t think I would ever need more though.

Are you happy with your Kwik Wire harness? Still on the fence on whether or not to mess with the old 40 harness or just spend the cash and get a 22 circuit Kwik Wire harness. I bought a new harness for the engine and trans.

I have no complains at all. I thought the wire quality was good and the labeling every foot or so is great.

Well I decided to go with a Speedway Motors 22 circuit wiring harness with a grommet kit.

First round of lite skim coat of bondo after blasting and epoxy primer.

Been working on the frame and finally doing the coilover mounts. This is the mock up for the rear. Mounts on the inside of the frame and leaned in a little bit. Bottom of the coilover back towards the wheel. Should give me good articulation and nothing in the fender well. What do you guys think? This is not the actual mount I’m using but all the angles I’ll be using

If you’re asking it looks backwards of most of the set ups I’ve seen. Shock should be out board of the frame
Or maybe I’m not understanding what you’re saying.
