I couldn't live without a brake. I just got a 5' 30 ton cnc finger brake for the shop my dad and I are building because I use it so much. I have used a swag brake a little, and they are super handy to have for sure.

This is a great point. The Swag 19” H-brake is handy though I have had to either weld together larger pieces or take them to a fab shop.

@bluehawk, your Cruiser is looking great! I’m really glad that you are continuing with the build and I can’t wait to see it sitting back on the ground again.

You can do so much with it though. I think that 95% of the stuff I do on a daily basis is under 20". It really can add a whole level of detail and quality to a build.

Do you use the gooseneck dies much, or the hemming dies?
I just got a set of the gooseneck in and think that will open a lot up.

I use both. I don't really do anything past a 90° bend, but the ability to stack longer legs together is super handy.

Helping a friend with a motor swap. He purchased this truck in a trade. It had either a 289 or a 305 in it. Stock trans and t-case. He purchased a stock 1F and I started the swap for him.

Any idea what this 5”x3”x3/16” angle is for?

Close. Plating the outside of the frame rails. Inside will get some plating before installing the rear double triangulated four link mounts and crossmember

Had a good friend come over and make a template for the rear curvature. He cut it and bent to match the rear kick up. I welded it on today.

Of course all the cut areas will get welded up

She is a roller once again. Now to get it on the lift and flex her out to get proper coilover placement and check for any clearance issues
