Day 193

I literary cashed in my piggy bank. I had an old water cooler bottle that I have been saving my left over change in for the past 20 plus years, luckily my bank counts change for free. I ended up with a few hundred pounds of change that I converted to rims and tires.

I went with 17 X 9 Mickey Thompson Classic Lock wheels wrapped in 37 X 12.5 X 17 Nitto Trail Grapplers.

Wow nice build!

Where can I get one of those 12V/USB receptacles like you have in your console? I need one!!!

Thanks everybody for all the support!

@Senor Aguas, I got mine either from Ebay or Aliexpress. I think it was $5-6 shipped.

Day 194

I removed the key ignition system in my tilt column and installed a push button. I then wired the push button to a Toyota Prius control module for ACC, start and stop. Next I installed a wood grain steering wheel from Grant. Then I finished mounting and hooking up the rear heater.

I don't know why you want to put pictures of that junk up for anyone to see, LOL.
Just kidding
I have been a loyal fan and always love to see your work.
This is just AWESOME!!!
Gary:cheers:

Been a while since I commented on your build...This is freaking exellent!!!! The truck is beautiful. Makes me want to restore my 78 40 just to this type of exellence, but I don't think I have that kind of talent..or imagination...just freakin' beautiful...

I started on my gauges, my plan is to replace each gauge with an electric one that will work with my current application. The first one I tackled was a GM fuel gauge. OldàNewàCompleted

great build, just wondering where did you get the gauges you used in the cluster, I know you had to mod them to fit, just wondering where you got them??

This build is truly the eighth wonder of the world. Your attention to detail is amazing, I thought I had a bad case of OCD, not anymore. I love how you are quick to answer members questions, thanks for the informative posts and raising the perfection bar another notch!

Great work, very nice build.
Every time I read your post I get pissed, cause the bar keeps moving up.

Keep up the great work, gives us all ideas to add to our builds. I already bought my 3x5x1/4" tube to shamelessly copy your bumper design.

The horse can smell the barn

Yer getting close to that magic day you start it and go cruising. I have been watching you building this for close to 2 years now I think... been a very nice journey. I am a purest and at first was kind of turned off by your complete overhaul - but your quality of work and infusion of your own personal touch has really inspired me and you have done the FJ-40 well. I thank you sir.

Day 201

Thank you for all the kind words!

I found some cheap floor mats from Costco and thought I would give them a try. After trimming them down they seem to be a great fit, not bad for $13.
