This is the right answer. Mine go edge to edge

Thanks, the footman loop is the right idea. The bag straps have all buckles sown in and the run in a full-length sleeve, so no easy way to replace for another strap solution. The D-shaped rings for the airline track system is almost there, but the ones I see online in that shape, like the O-ring style, won't fit the buckle to pass through. I might buy another basket kit for the side panels and just run the straps under those like I do in the rear. Just was hoping for something a little cheaper. Thanks for the great suggestions, everyone. I appreciate it!My first thought was a footman loop attached to the flat part of a rack but I'm guessing that also wouldn't work with the buckle? That said... you could just remove the footman loop each time you take the bag off.
Can you remove the entire strap from the bag and replace with something that has hardware that's easier to use? Something like an e-track strap would be pretty clean or at that point just use a 1 inch strap with the mounting points that you already have? Perhaps poke around here -- Strapworks - Straps, Webbing, Tie-Downs, Buckles & More - https://www.strapworks.com.
@BigMF and others who recently installed, are the 8m hex bolts provided still NOT stainless? If no, anyone know the length of the provided M8's?Also, here's some other hardware you might find useful for the Prinsu rack:
1/4"-20 x 2" bolt - fits perfect in the slot. Different sizes available. I used these in combination with the plastic knobs below (and fender washers) to secure my MaxTrax and axe.

Plastic knobs - You'll need to get some 1/4"-20 nuts to drop in. Readily available at HD/Lowes.

T-Slot nuts. I used them for the rings above but plenty left over for other things.

Mine came from Zac, the inventor of the Prinsu rack. I would check with CBI offroad, who bought the design and might have changed the hardware.Anyone know the length of the M8 hex

I ordered the rack (waiting for shipping ETA) and looking at upgrading the included hardware to something that isn't going to rust out on me in a few years.
I called CBI and the guy told me they are definitely not stainless steel. He was unsure of the length that goes into the roof. They don't have install directions posted for the LC 200. They were kind enough to send me a link to an install video, I was a bit surprised to see them using in impact driver to take off the OEM plates from the rack. Must have had far more luck than others here on mud.Mine came from Zac, the inventor of the Prinsu rack. I would check with CBI offroad, who bought the design and might have changed the hardware.

Even after several years CBI hasn't made installation instructions, or a detailed parts list? Weak CBI.I called CBI and the guy told me they are definitely not stainless steel. Looks like I'll get the rack delivered next week. Once received, I'll measure the M8 bolts and post. I'm definitely using the method(s) everyone here has posted. Great info.
Great summary and advice. ThanksEven after several years CBI hasn't made installation instructions, or a detailed parts list? Weak CBI.
The most critical step is to loosen the factory rack bolts, alternating between each pair on a single foot. A few turns on one, then a few turns on the other, back and forth. Do that and you will not spin the "nut" plate under to roof and all will be fine in the world.

The next most difficult step is to figure out shim placement to your liking, time consuming process. I did approach CBI about this after they purchased Zach's design, without any success.
Refer to the attached pic with torque specs for the rack fasteners (note: this is for OEM hardware which is far better quality than supplied). Most seem to have stopped short of the OEM# for multiple reasons.
Good luck!

Anyone know the length of the M8 hex
With my shim selection (round spacers and washers) the Prinsu was about 3.5" above the roof in the middle of the rack. Can anyone confirm that the total height of the Prinsu rack installed on a LC base with stock tires and suspension is < 78"? Of all the rack options, the Prinsu seems to be the lowest profile and I need to stay under 78" in total height for parking garage purposes.
Great install! What's the overall height of the rack from the roof line? Thinking about this set up in lieu of the ARB Base. Thanks for your input.I was able to get mine on yesterday without any issues. I'm pretty impressed with the rack, once everything is together it's very solid. I took it for a short drive only up to about 60 MPH and the wind noise is very minimal even with the sunroof open. I am running the fairing at the lowest setting. I plan to put the RTT and awning on later this week for an upcoming trip. I followed the cabrack instructions and used a huge glob of RTV to seal it to the roof - hopefully it's water tight because it would be a pain to redo!
Ignore the anti-seize on the fairing, I used it on the fasteners and made a mess. The fairing is nicely powder coated.
Looks like you answered the question already.Great install! What's the overall height of the rack from the roof line? Thinking about this set up in lieu of the ARB Base. Thanks for your input.
So after the factory bolts are removed and the carrier is in place, will any force from above (spacer movement while landing out side rails) push the carrier down into the vehicle? The care part is clear on removing factory rails, but what about anything needed to keep them in place during install of Prinsu rails?Even after several years CBI hasn't made installation instructions, or a detailed parts list? Weak CBI.

I'm not sure I fully understand your question, that said, a couple of tips.So after the factory bolts are removed and the carrier is in place, will any force from above (spacer movement while landing out side rails) push the carrier down into the vehicle? Did you drop headliner to do this?here are some pics i took during install. Previous owner had the rear quarter panel painted, and looked like body shop had butchered the rack removal. One of my captive nuts was completely loose, but I was able to work around it.
