Last couple of around town trips, I've been getting a telltale whiff of coolant...looks like it's time for a PHH.... . I have a spare green stripe with the proper tension clamps in my bag...time to put it to use! I saw a few drips on the pipe below this, so I know it's weeping under pressure...I have a pressure tester and will put a little pump on that to confirm before the hassles of the job.

Might even be a good time to do the rear heater delete too since I'll have the system cracked...I have the proper hose for this and also the body plug for under the seat...I never use the rear heater, so one less leak point on a 30 year old setup.

And did a little test squeeze with the 37's that I picked up from Ahmad for my son's SAS Explorer mock ups...had to at least tease myself, even if I couldn't drive it due to the rear caliper hitting. At least it gave me an honest roofline measurement that confirms it'll still fit in my garage with 37's... and looks like minimal clearance issues with my current suspension setup. I guess it's true what she said...."that extra 2" really makes a difference!"

Went to the scales today with Dad’s new to him truck and the 40. Who wants to guess the weight of the combo and the individual tow rig, trailer and cruiser? F250 is a 2000 7.3 PSD 2WD 6 spd

Yup, not as nearly a hateful project as most make it out to be...spent more time finding my hose kit that I thought was in my larger "weekend tool kit"... not, was in my tool roll in the truck ...

And started an install of a little Black Friday gift to myself...the WolfBox rear view mirror with Delta bracket. I mainly need to tuck the wires now, which will take the most time to figure out for a clean installation.

Getting the roof ribs to match up, i didn't want to have them just end with a flat piece of metal. Body work sucks. I kept blowing holes through it but finally got it to start working after a lot of trial and error. Have to clean up my booger welds now

This cab was super rusty and destined for the scrap pile anyways, the only thing going for it is, it's mine. It was either pay $2000 for a cab that was most likely stolen and had no title. Buy a rust free cab from the south, $4000 with a title. Or try my hand at making this into the perfect size for my personal use. Camper/cruiser hauler, drive all around the country with out a care in the world truck.

Nice work! Garage shops rule! I ended up just stitching the welding for my sheet metal work. Its slower but I didn’t get any more holes.

Actual weights before and after unloading the 40. The 40 had about half tank of gas, normal load of tools and spares in the lockbox, no one in it and is 4320lbs. We know the trailer is 2200-2300 lbs, which means the F250 is about 7300-7400 lbs with Dad, Emma, and I in it.

@DC470 and I had ourselves a little road trip, first to Baltimore for a Elocker 100 series rear axle for his truck and then to NJ for some early 80 axles for mine

These axles are out of a 92 and have a bunch of goodies

4.88 gears, chromolly shafts, grizzly auto lockers, warn hubs ( I assume the truck that they came out of was part timed ) DOM steering link, cruiser corp rear disc conversion, nitro rear diff cover, backing plate eliminators and some wheel spacers

Got some fun work ahead of me with a wire wheel to get them all ready for paint

my 2002 f250 7.3psd 4x4 came in at 7700lbs with probably 15~ gallons of diesel in it. I think your guess is right since you're missing the front axle and Tcase.

So… the ARB out of stock glitch worked, bumper just arrived today. Hopefully I can get it on the truck this weekend. This box is massive, it took up the entire width of the delivery truck.

The one thing I’m concerned about is clearance for the winch control box, since the LX grille is attached to the hood. I hope that I will still be able to mount it on top of the bumper, otherwise I don’t know where I would put it.

Just need front/rear lockers, scrub bars, raptor lights, a roof rack, awning, RTT, and 35s on beadlocks, then I’ll finally be able to tackle Flagpole on my own.

Not sure how the ARB of an 80 compares to the 100 but on the 80, its a front mount not a bottom mount winch plate. The badlands Apex can only mount one way and you can't clock the control box (I took it apart and can confirm this) so it needs to be pointed toward the engine "mounted on its side". Hopefully you can see what I mean in the pic. I did some research and it works fine and did when I got stuck at Fall Crawl. Also for the 80 I needed spacer blocks to push the winch back towards the engine as the bumper tapers too much to mount it right against the face (so you'll need to buy hardware for this). I got these spacer blocks from @matzell since they didn't exist online a year ago for some reason and they're what you need
