Symptoms:
- Key fob locks and unlocks three of four doors and tailgate; driver door - nothing
- Using the key in the driver door lock (like the old days) will lock and unlock all other doors/tailgate; driver - nothing
- The button on the driver door, same as above
- Only way to lock or unlock the driver's door is with the manual flip button on the door

Clearly (well, mostly) this is an electrical problem - as opposed to a mechanical (handle/rod) problem. But before I pull off the door panel, can anyone tell me what part I need to replace and where (in the door, kick panel, etc.) that part is?

Thanks!

Search "door lock actuator" and you'll find lots of info. It's located with in the door, but not terribly difficult to remove. You can either replace the motor in the actuator or the whole thing.

I did 3 of my 5 doors earlier this year.

thanks @MountaineerLC !
I think I searched everything BUT "actuator".

Yep. My '06 had a dead door lock actuator. Swapped out the assembly from a junk yard (tested and was working perfectly) and good as new.
