I did big levels once. Don’t ever need to do it again in a 4wd. It was 10 miles of bouncing over softballl sized rocks and uphill switchbacks. At the end (or beginning depending on your direction) are some giant stagnant pools of varying depth.
True but you have to factor in the 20 min vicinity to Devils Backbone:beer::beer::beer:

Is Dictum Ridge still a thing? I haven't heard anyone mention this in years.

I believe they got shut down. Too many people rolled off it.

Exactly. Nothing wrong with the easy trails, can still make for good times. As for Dictum Ridge, funny to hear that again...never been personally but was popular a while back it seemed, afaik was shut down but not totally sure.

Every time I pass the private side of Dictum Ridge on 33 I get the urge to take a peek. The switchback heading up the mountain doesn’t appear to be blocked, but I haven’t stopped to give it a proper look. I last did it in 2010 I think.

Full skid plates have been ordered, I’m a little excited to do Potts at some point.

Finally gave Potts a run this weekend. Kept it a small group and went with @TTViper , his brother, and @TRDdrew . 2 100s a 3rd gen and the 200.

Weather was is the mid 60s low 70s the whole time and it was perfect. Paul gave the trail a great description of a Cove green with some blue sections. We went from upper trail head to lower. Where we started it was a good 5miles of just gravel road before we actually got the the proper trail. Trail was tight and pin striping was happening as you'd expect on trails around us.

The way the trail is set up is nice, they have clearly marked signs pointing you in the direction of obstacles or staying on the easy side if you want. We did most of the obstacles that were there, a couple had trees down blocking us from trying and 2 were too tight for the big girls.

I'm glad I waited to til I had front bumper and winch before doing this trail. There was 1 section that has no bypass and was a decent challenge.

Andrew and I had to pull cable on the last hill and only reason was lack of lockers. He was lacking a front locker and I was lacking both. The climb required riding the V where passenger stayed on side of the rock and driver deals with some of the loose stuff.

The guys got a good amount of pictures and I got quite a bit of video. So after I get thru cutting it up I'll post and share here, bug them about pictures.

Damage report: minor
My rear bumper took a good hit and almost flew off on the highway.
Andrew banged up rear LCA frame mounts and front bumper.

The first gen is a local that we met on the trail. Otherwise we ran into very little traffic on Labor Day weekend. There was your typical local hunters out running dogs, but they didn’t venture on to the main trail with their vehicles. It’s a fun trail, it’s free, and there are a good amount of optional obstacles should you need to increase the difficulty. I look forward to going back someday and starting at the lower trail head (probably the easier direction IMO).

Here's one video. Will have a few more coming

looks good. There is a group of us going on the 2nd.
