Thanks Martin, A cheap Maaco paint job went a long way. Still got a lot of stuff to do it.

i know the 40!

this guys sold it at one point. I actually sat in it once and contemplated buying it when i was looking for my 40

im pretty sure it was the same one. It had to be about 2 and a half years ago.

I bought it out of Michigan last August, It used to be red but I had it painted this summer.

Ok, thought I'd post my ride since the rebuild is now finished. The tub has 6 and half inches added to it.

How do you have the two tubes of the roll cage attached to the windshield frame, and why did you chose that method??

Hi,

Their is a plate welded to the two pieces of roll cage tubing at the front and the mirror is attached to that. I use two pieces of tubing as it supports itself and the plate is only lightly bolted to the windscreen.

I went this way for several reasons, one, so when you get into the front seats you don't have to duck under a bar all the time. Two, the front two seats recline forward so you can get to the back seat for passengers, again no side top bar to hit your head.

And finally when I put a canvas top on the centre bars will support it and not pool water, they also make great hand grips on rough tracks.

Driven daily now since January 1, 2008 after a long time of restoration. Only thing different now is I've added my side mirrors and winch up front.
