I'll play, even though I did not install this turbo gauge. I do like the location of it, but have been unable to find an A pillar pod to put the rest of the planned gauges in.
I might end up making a similar bracket, and putting a pyro gauge above it (on the top of the handle), with the rest of the gauges in something like Sailor has. I have plans one day of a double DIN unit in the dash, so gauges can't go there.

Hey Crushers - really like that little panel - what size of gauges does it fit?

Got one you'd be interested in selling? Need something for my turbo install.

Thanks

i made up about a 100 when i made them.
the fit the 2 1/16" gauges.
they are $15 each plus shipping (they fit into a regular sized envelope)
cheers

Here's mine. Westach dual EGT and Boost gauge.

I liked it for the stock-ish look.

by far the coolest IMO - you should paint the bezel silver to match the factory dash- I think that would set the stock look off!- cool dual!:bounce:

I had a busy day today drilling and taping and splicing wires. Pyro, Boost, and Trans temp. are all installed and lookin good! The backing plate for the gauges is Crushers creation, and my mind is blown how perfectly it fit three Isspro gauges. Getting them in the dash was a bit trickier as my stereo has a lip that hangs down and takes up precious real estate in that area, but a bit of grinding and we were in business. Have a look, and thanks again to Crushers for the sweet gauge plate.

yah, she is a tight fit but once it is installed if gives a nice clean install. thanks for the thumbs up, i appreciate it.
what we did with the tranny temp was to install it into the feed line to the rad, this gives us an accurate reading but it is a bit more work.
gauges are a suggestion at best, you don't ever want to work at the high end of the spectrum for long periods of time.

nice job, congrats.

On the BJ74 I started out with the pods, and ended up inside the alt/temp pod.

I dig it. I was going for this in my 81 but I realized that It would involve cutting the dash. So i said screw it and made this quickly.
Did the trick. Bit of a tricky spot to put it because of the slope of the dash and the depth of the gauges. I am going the din slot route on the 73. Wayne you got a pm.

gauges in vents cool

Sorry I cant play... yet. but

This is the set up for sure, cats meow.
I checked out Sheldons interior, the gauges in the vents look sweet and keep the somewhat stock appearance. At first you dont really notice them.
You shold do this Foreal:D
I am going to do this, not sure if 2 or 3 gauges though.

Nice ride Sheldon~! IF you ever think about selling your cruiser, please give me a shout. I want it.

Great job, that looks nice.
