I am flying out of Hamilton Saturday Aug 31st and I will be in Calgary 9am...... The owner is picking me up and then I am driving it back. It will be a long ride but a fun one unless it blows up.

I'd meet ya but I'm headed up to Fort Mcmurray Friday for the Tarsands club run. Another time perhaps

Here is my 1978 fj45, I chopped and lengthened the cab.
It's at a friends farm and looking to finish the 5% of work to put it on the road in 2014.
Nice pics of cruisers !

Nice! I see you are in GP, I thought I had the only 45 in town, if you need some parts let me know.

Also, there is one other 45 in town; a grey one with BC plates.

I didn't know it was still here.....I saw it a couple years ago :hmm:
When are you getting it home?

That grey one belongs to my cousin, but he doesn't get it out on the road too often.

Don't have a date pegged yet to get mine home, but would like to make it happen in the next few weeks. Before the snow starts falling.

This was my truck for a few years, sold it to a guy in Cali, held on to it for two years then he had me sell it again to a guy in Boston.. Frame off powder coated most parts, factory pto, 1hz h55 with Denco turbo, parabolic lift kit, power steering..

Drove it to Pismo, for a cruiser gathering almost 22hrs in monsoon rains, thought the top was going to blow off, spent two days on the dunes sleeping in the back in blowing weather.. George AKA Orangefj45 took the truck went through once more and put it on a train to Boston.

Changed colour two times..

Truck in the back ground was originally Land Pimps truck, sold to Yooper https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/103745-light-restoration-40-a-7.html
and deliver by Seanight..

PS. to this day this was the only boat style top that could be slid forward and tided off the the headache rack for a open bed.. Not taking the credit, the guy who built it was pretty darn good...

I have seen this 45 three times now on Main st in Vancouver while drinking coffee . Always seen from a distance but looks pretty nice. I saw a flat bed red 45 on this same street awhile back. Rare sightings and always appreciated though I see more 60/61/62 series of all shapes and sizes.
