Cannondale Caad8 with Shimano 105 components, Crank Bros Candy pedals, Lezyne pump and Axiom Streamliner rack for commuting. Not the best bike for commuting, but it sure is nice going fast.

Recently went from a downhill bike to a free ride! It's a yeti sb66 and I absolutely love it! Rides amazingly and will take anything I thow at it. (Btw this is not my picture)

Santa Cruz Bronson, built up by me.

My new Bronson 2, bought a frame & built up as a great XC that has the brakes to do lite DH work.
I may drop 3/8" more off stem height, but loving the reverse config 203 / 180 rotors. An experiment that worked surprisingly well.

Also running Onyx hubs, freewheel is silent (no pawl clicking) - my dog LOVES it & riding under/in a forest canopy is a new experience running so quiet. Also, Bronson2 > Bronson, by a ton, new Nomad style link rear is a big improvement.

I also recently picked up a Yeti SB66. It was the XC build with the fox 32 and 2x10 set up.

I've since replaced every part except for the bottom bracket, cranks, shock, and wheelset. Now it has a pretty good mix of XT and XTR components and a Pike

My latest creation: Cannondale Jekyll Carbon Team frame, 2014 RockShox Pike fork, Roval Traverse 27.5 wheels, Specialized Butcher DH tires running tubeless, Shimano Deore brakes with big rotors, SRAM GX 1x11 drivetrain on some old Shimano cranks, and hopefully very soon a dropper post. This thing is an absolute monster of a bike.

How do you like that reverse shock thing.... any good? It always seems like Cdale is trying to reinvent the wheel but i never hear if its any good.

I love it. It's super smooth, 100% custom-tunable with the positive and negative air chambers, and the climb-mode makes this a truly do-everything bike. Plus the added perk of being able to reverse the pressures and extend the shock in the work stand makes it super easy to work on when measuring chains and cables and stuff. Little things.

hmm, didnt know you could reverse the pressures... is it a 1 and done situation or can you cycle it back and forth? On first thought it sounds cool, on second thought, shock removal for chain and cables is 1 bolt and generally this only needs to be done once (subsequent changes, just match what you took off), is the extra plumbing in the shock 'really' necessary? I guess this is more of question to FOX than to Cdale and maybe the ability is inherent in the design (i didnt read much into it).

I guess scott is doing this too? Maybe they really are onto something.... I still think ill get a Santa Cruz 5010 when the time comes though

Chain looks a little short there... Any issues when the suspension is fully compressed?

Sharp eye - I learned on my last Bronson I could flat eliminate chain slap (or need for a ring/dropped chains) - by taking the correct link measurement, then dropping whichever one it fell on +1 more.

It def uses the derailer's arm to keep tension when in the higher gears, but even in lowest gear & under compression it doesn't bowstring the chain.

It's still pretty new, but I've never dropped a chain on it or even my B1 I sold after taking a link out.

Crazy that it has been almost two years since I bought/built my Thumper...
Here is Blackheart on my local trails at what is called the Tree of Agnst. This was from a photo tribute ride, the MTBR community lost a HUGE person about a month ago unexpectedly. Wherewolf (Steve) was a Californian that was constantly in Tahoe riding, though he considered himself slow and old he ALWAYS took his camera to take photos and was an exceptional photographer. Needless to say, the community has banded together to pay tribute to the many by taking our time on our normal, sometime forgotten beauty, rides to basically "take a moment and smell the roses." I think Steve would have loved having an old FJ40 or FJ60 that really didn't just fly down the road. Driving longer distances in my 60 has shown me some of the beauty that I so quickly pass in life.

I like the Ardennes I haven't tried the Jets yet. I wanted a wider wheel to roll my 28mm. At 75psi in front and 85psi in the back it really smooths out the road

I posted my CX some time ago but this is the stuff I'm riding now.
Bontrager Comp XC. All XT with Chris King headset, White Industry hubs and Salsa Fork.

Beat around town bike. Trek 990 with one off fade powder paint. FSA BB and Crank. XT shifters. XTR and White Ind. hub combo with Surley fork and fenders.

Finally stepped into the 21st century. Just picked up the KTM a few months back as a more capable commuter.
CX geometry. 700c CX rubber. Flat bars XT shfters. Hydraulic disk brakes. Generator front hub with lights, fenders, rack, box etc. pizza sold separately.
