I think you need to request a name change here to "McGuyver"Silly stupid idea but I'm going to make my mounts out of old ski bindings, everybody know how they work and they are a dimme a dozen at the Salvation Army, super fast quick release and I bet they will not even look that bad..
Mister mcguyver is a "imperialist object apropiator'I think you need to request a name change here to "McGuyver"
Here's another possibility, called The Bracketeer on Amazon for about $60. It has a universal mount that looks like it should fit between the rails of one of the front seats. Mounting instructions in the video below. I don't like how the extinguisher attaches to the mechanism though, since it's secured using the extinguisher's plastic attachment and strap (Kidde). I'd want to find something a little more secure, but this might be an option to consider.

Looking to nail down which extinguisher I want before I do my mounting plans especially as the CO2 are noticeably bigger, looking for any real world feedback from Halotron and CO2? I like that with both there is zero mess and they are rechargeable.
Specifically looking at Buckeye 70258 like here:
Buckeye 70258 Halotron Fire Extinguisher 2.5 lb. Fixed Nozzle
BUCKEYE 70258 Fire Extinguisher, 2B:C, 2.5lb., CleanAgent | eBay
Buckeye 70258 Halotron Hand Held Fire Extinguisher with Aluminum Valve and Wall Hook, 2.5 lbs Agent Capacity, 3-3/8" Diameter x 5-5/8" Width x 13-3/8" Height: Science Lab Emergency Response Equipment: Amazon.com: Home Improvement
or an H3R HG250R like here
2.5 lb. HalGuard Red Clean Agent Fire Extinguisher
Amazon.com: H3R Performance HG250R Fire Extinguisher: Home Improvement
For CO2 lots of options since used in restaurants:
Buckeye 5 lb. Carbon Dioxide BC Fire Extinguisher - Rechargeable - UL Rating 5-B:C
Kidde 466180 Pro 5 CD Fire Extinguisher, UL Rated 5-B:C, Carbon Dioxide, Red - - Amazon.com
But I can't find smaller, 2.5lb versions?
I'm leaning halotron as the size/charged weight difference I think is noticeable for my wife or kids if they had to use it, and both are 9 sec duration... thoughts/experiences?
Hey @NLXTACY - noticed you did a mount for 5th Gen 4Runners - very clean. Any ETA on a 100 series mount? Same location (front PS seat)?
