Yes we still plan on headed that way for the weekend, I got an unexpected amount of work dumped in my lap with deadlines that needs to be done before I leave and my time is limited to do much planning. I’ve asked Clay to reach out to @Redgrrr to see if he is available to give us some pointers on a route.

Bonnie and I, and I believe Gordon, plan on sticking around. Our plan is to head to Devils Tower and the Buffalo/Sheridan area of Wyoming during the intervening days, perhaps even up to the Custer Battlefield just over the Montana border if time. Then back to wherever you July 4 weekend folks are gathering up. Look forward to seeing you.
We're peeling out in the morning and if anybody on the road forgot something or needs something, part or tools, etc. let me know. I'm leaving all internet stuff at home, so I'm going dark until we get back. I will bring the camera.

Day 2
Truckee to Park City Utah. 12 hours. Can’t drive 80 and 25% was 1 lane, road work.
got a bad tank of gas in Elco and sweated the stuttering but it kept up to speed except the 6% grades.. Fresh tank of gas at salt lake and it smoothed out.

Due to long drive days treating myself to nice accommodations and hot showers

Ya we are disappointed but I think I'm taking it better than I thought I would. Pulling tent off now to get it back in the garage. Just bought a tyranny jack. Should know in a few hours what happened. I think the thought of pulling it all out is more of a bummer than missing the trip.
You still have time to join us the weekend of the 4th.

Yeah, those poor people they don't know what we're missing.
We have 4 goats, and I believe 3 of them are supposed to be pregnant.
I can say those people are missing making pens tough enough to keep The Predator in, because those damn little goats will straight up ninja out of everything!

Made the run to Cheyenne. Running way smoother then yesterday. Till the A/C compressor died, fortunately the weather is overcast so no brain fry..
out of the 7 or 8 hotels at the intersection of the 80 and the 25 they were all fully booked I did find a room.
