For what it's worth, here's my .02....I agree with Barry, something needs to be done cause that light looks like it's just waiting to be knocked off. Another possible option (other than the "french" in the tubing) would be to move it up and/or over and make a nice gusset peace to put it into....just a thought may not be applicable in that area.;pWhat? I can't believe you didn't french that light into the tube just above it. Slacker. Work that plasma and make it right!

Well, Barry had me convinced to relocate it, I agreed, then I got home & said "F" it & leave it alone as I've got other more important stuff to complete ;p Now, you think it's an eyesore too. Hmmm, looks like I'll come up with a gusset style between the upper joint to satisfy you both
Got the ends & tabs welded on & smoothed out. All constructed w/ 1/8" mat'l. I'll get to the above mentioned running light location next.......

Yeah, I believe it's good practice to have another one's viewpoint, like a checking process, just to make sure I'm not gettin all lazy or shortcutting on this build. It's a small change to make, but it's "all in the details".

Yup.. Wrapping up a Isuzu 4BD1T into a FJ62 for a friend.. Some trade out work, almost done. Plan to get back to it in the next couple weeks..

I just took yer
& massaged it a little, glad it meets yer high standards ;pGot the clamps fabbed, first bar (1 1/2") fitted & burned in. I'll use 1 1/4" tube for the rest of the cage. Already have my design thought out so I'll be bending it up next:

Cage Top Mounted:
Got the top, side bars & one rear bar attached. I'll need to add one more @ the top of the curved bars, right next to the tail lights. Right now, I'm adding some barrel bolts to prop up the top so it'll stay up. Those'll mount right next to the hinges, which I'll show next.........

Insane in a good way? ;p Evar since I torched off the rear sheetmetal I knew I'd have to get creative to make it look *decent & not too busy, don't know if I accomplished that, but it'll do
I wanted the bed area to be functional & keep my gear from spilling out, similar to waht I did on my 40. As I've said before, I feed off Y'ALLS INPUT on this build, so if you have any suggestions, let 'er rip, I'm listenin

Just when you think "I'll just level this out w/ my grinder real quick & leave my safety glasses next to me"
Well, I didn't think it'd happen to me, but now I'm a spokesperson 
You DON'T want an opthamologist revving up his rotary tool on yer eyeball do 'ya? Never thought a little chunk of grinder disk could make me miserable like that, but I'm tellin 'ya, DON'T get careless around power tools. Lesson learned Sorry, no carnage pics.......

Can't tell you how many times my contact lenses have saved my eyes. It never seems to be for lack of wearing goggles as much as wearing ones that don't seal well enough around the sides or I'm crawling around under the truck and something falls from above into them. Luckily, the metal flakes embed themselves into the contact lense and not your eye. Hurts like hell, but you just throw the lense away and flush thoroughly. If you get metal on the cornea, you're going to the doctor and you're done for a week. I've never had that happen, but my dad did. He had patches on both eyes for a week. Ouch!
