Fresh Pig!

Is that solar on the hood?

Nice one, you're going to like it as a camping rig.
I am looking forward to it. I used to have a 2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2, but had to get rid of it. Have been missing having something to get out there. Decided to go old school. Was originally looking for an FJ40, or an older CJ5/7 Jeep (I know probably a curse word around here) but saw the FJ55 and immediately fell in love with it.

First thing on the agenda is rebuilding the drum brakes in the back. They are very soft, waiting on one part from NAPA, that should be here Tuesday and then there is a slight leak from the transmission pan, so I ordered some gaskets for that. Should be busy next weekend.

I did have to remove the wood rack on the top so that it would fit in the garage. Stupid 7 foot doors. It got in but scraped a little coming out so I decided to give myself an extra two inches of headroom. I plan on putting a proper rack in eventually anyways.

When your ready for your second pig (donor pig) give me a pm, I have 77 (if I recall correctly) in Steamboat Springs. Body is shyt but has the AC and everything else is decent. .Not going to move it here to Oklahoma, figure someone in the mud clan can use it.

Behold, the Iron Rat. Rat because of the enormous amount of pack rat crap (literally) plus dog crap, cholla cactus, desiccated rat carcasses, bird eggs, etc etc is just epic. So, the Iron Rat:

1969 FJ55, looks to be mostly original, some rust but not bad, frame is solid, just barely getting started.

Plan is to get it running and kinda driving and probably sell it. Unless somebody wants to make a crazy offer and take it off my hands as is.

It's a pretty cool rig.
