Steve and I drove 75% of the route this weekend. Have to say it looks like it's going to be a good one. We are adding in quite a few more backroads and from the looks of it Wednesday-Friday is going to be camping at some really cool places as well there is some decent wheeling thrown in. We both took our 100's and not a scratch was had but there was at least a few spot where we had to make a run at an obstacle. Campsites are epic though.

I dont think I can make it.

Just so everyone knows I'm not really concerned with if you can come or not yet. Right before most events about 50% of the people who say they are in back out. In this events case it doesn't bother me. We aren't making any money off it and I really won't plan each days schedule until the week before. I'm expecting around 6 Wednesday and pick a couple more up each day and a bunch Saturday. I have accommodated the camping for 20 at each place but seriously doubt we will have that many the first couple days. Though those are the really cool spots.

What day are you going to the parkway?

Thanks to @JohnnyBighead for working on this design that @aquatech3 described to me last year! If you like, need to know if you prefer a t-shirt or a sticker? If t-shirt, UC Logo on front and some semblance of this on the back is what I am envisioning. Will work to make it so it doesn't act like a heat magnet due to lots of ink! T-shirt probably $20, sticker maybe $4.....

NOTE: if we do a shirt, not committing that the shirt color will be blue, most likely will be an earth tone color.

I normally skip the tshirts and get them sized for the kiddos, but I like that!

I want a shirt!

I want a shirt, medium if same brand as last year, large if not.

put me down for both - shirt = L.

It is with regret that I must inform you guys that I have been asked to work a youth conference in VA during our OTMT. I won't be able to join you. I can squeeze in the first day and possibly the second day but I won't if it prevents someone on the waiting list from filling my spot.

Size Large for me

@Trollhole Could we get a rough itinerary (nearby towns are good enough for now)? I'd like to see if there is a way that either the family could meet up with us Friday/Saturday or if it would be too far to justify.

Don't know if the trip itinerary has already been set but if we are near Sylva, NC and need something to fill in time or a destination, I thought I'd throw this out. The Balsam-Willets-Orchre Hill Volunteer Fire Deportment has an annual open house and free bluegrass concert. This year its on Saturday, 8/26/17 with a BBQ dinner ($10.00/plate) served from 3 PM to 6PM and the concert starting at 6PM. The location is Sylva, NC just west of Asheville; here's the link.
