brakes are better, pedal is a little softer. i need to go to a new master. the one in there is an aftermarket. it is a definite improvement. with the other brakes, the pedal was kind of hard and didnt want to stop the big rubber too fast.
the new brakes will skid all four on pavement. new master will be much better.

much larger caliper, and rotor. i thought i took caliper comparo pics, but i guess not.

the seller is that it uses IFS wheel hub for gained width.
uses all bolt on stuff, nothing "hacked" IMO
the rotor becomes a "slip on". as apposed to having to tear the wheel hub off to take the rotor off for service etc.

IDK, bling factor. :flipoff2:

i was just kind of with the school of thought. i have to tear the whole front down, do an upgrade.
if it werent for the fact that the old brakes went to my buddies 40. i would ALMOST regret the whole nightmare. i really, really, really, really hate when a 6 hour job turns into 6 weeks.

I wonder if anyone has experimented with the Tundra rotors? On 96+ 4runners they upgrade them to Tundra rotors & calipers and its bolt on. If you can get the 4runner/Taco ones on your 4runner then shouldn't you be able to go another step up and use the Tundra's too?

figure i could update this.

did a 94 4runner booster and master recently.
big improvement in braking. pedal no longer goes to the floor.

This reminds of those games in those dive bars of what is different between these two pictures. :flipoff2:

Oh you know you love to play those games!

I did actually change the bent axle shaft from rubithon'13.

I was going to try and straighten the rear dl but rain and back problem kept me on the couch.

I plan on repainting the half top and possibly building a small roof rack.

I think i wheeled four times since CTW.

I sure as hell thought about the repairs every second i was in the seat getting filling shook out
