so this first group of pics is what i found in the bad trans.

the third-fourth shift fork was broken and ground terribly.

the input gear and counter gear are wasted from a lack of lubrication, you can see the wear patter on the gears. in the last pic, you can see the residue from where the shift fork filings had been falling off onto the counter gear shaft.

so a BIG thanks to jerod for hooking me up with the trans. (i havent forgotten our deal bro)

i was able to bust this job out in the last two afternoons. just got back from a test drive. it really is nice to have a QUIET trans with ALL working gears.

honestly after opening the bad trans, and then opening the good one. i almost nutted. and its all in the pudding, it was like driving a totally different truck. even more badass than before.

also notice gratuitous use of macro

i am not 100% who i should blame this mess on. . .

either me or jerod forgot to drain the trans before trying to pull the case

also a couple more showing the fork damage

got some "orthopedic" shoes, as J put it.

i guess, yes, i am getting old.

i would say i got maybe 15% back. fxxx those swamps were power killers.

long story short, i lost 50$ on the swamps in two years.
got my new set of FIVE for 1250$ the numbers say i was out 150$ total on the deal.

now the question is, what was the original price of the swamps?

so here's pics

depth charge.

i would say these are about what he advertised, 80-90%
plus i got a new, never touched pavement, spare too.
turned out to be a good craigslist deal.

those dynatracks would be a good buy for someone who has lots o spare cash.
they are narrowed to fit the scout and six lug. also fit 15" rims. theyd be titties under jesses 40. . .

also just wanted to add, BIG thanks to the guys at rivertown auto. got my SXs dismounted after a couple other places, that will remain nameless, couldnt do it.

was that before, during or after i was being harassed by johnny law for looking too fawking pimp

he was at the market and fell in behind me from there. stopped me up across from gibbon.

idk, i think they have finally decided that i am above it. he didnt write me this time again.
its not like i am flapping that thing. . .

he asked if he'd already pulled me over
my response was that i dont keep a list. he he

oh ya and
BIRD, is the word

the other day at pre run garett was asking about my "mcgrew mods"
not a whole lot has changed with the runner in the last year.
basically after the flop, i had to replace the top and a marker lamp and also beat out the DS fender.

even prior to that day i was wanting to get the truck a bit lower.
i ended up cutting the front shackle down from a 6.0 to a 4.0

i also ended up pulling another leaf out of the rear pack.
